What is the goal for the battlez levels? I looked at a few (marked easy) and I was not sure of the objective of the game. Game started out with multiple gruntz both friendly and enemy. I could see in some I could see no way for the gruntz to get tools and if they ganged up on an enemy with a tool it was gone with them when they became goo. With battlez is there teleporters, secretz, ect? Is there somewhere on this forum that talks about battlez levels?

You should start with the training battle level (titled "Training"). That level will explain everything you need to know. Teleporterz and such can be added in a custom battle, but secretz are near useless (once only ) and teleportz are not very useful.

Teleporterz and such can be added in a custom battle, but secretz are near useless (once only ) and Secretz do not seem to have much value in Battlez, true. Why not? Put some kind of barrier around an area with four reusable Wormholez, which lead to the four King's Fortressez. While computer opponentz would never use them, it would give the human a big advantage! And if it were truly feasible to have on-line Battlez, all four human playerz would have two choicez of how to win; break into each opponentz Fortress the 'usual' way; or make a bee-line for the Wormholez and break into that area, then into the very heart of each opponent. Of course, it would also be necessary to put guardz around the area to prevent the opponentz from using the same 'shortcut'. And the playerz would have to learn (perhapz the 'hard' way) which Wormhole led to which King's Fortress ... break in at the wrong place, and you open the way into your own Fortress!

I have another question about battlez levelz (probably a dumb question but here goes). I am not sure how to interpret the statz page at the end of the game. How do you know how well you did? Its not like a quest that tells you if you got a perfect. Or is it?

The Statz page tells you: - Which(if any) enemy fortz you (or the enemy) conquered;
- How many enemiez you've killed;
- How many gruntz you've created;
- And how many Toolz, Toyz, Powerupz and Cursez you got.
Often, the player is not conquered by AIz, and so he's the winner (the king the appears twice in the Statz), regardless if he got more itemz, or not. If that comez to happen, though, the winner is usually the one who conquered the player.

Often, the player is not conquered by AIz, and so he's the winner (the king the appears twice in the Statz), regardless if he got more itemz, or not. If that comez to happen, though, the winner is usually the one who conquered the player. In Single-player Battlez mode (you v. the AI'z) the King always represents the human Player. The King'z Statz are always shown in the first column. The number of flagz at the top of any column, whether the King or another AI, represents the number of and specifically which fortz that player conquered. The Time line gives the elapsed time of the entire battle. And in addition to listing the total number of toolz, toyz, powerupz and curzez each player used in the Battle, the Statz also shows, by way of the appropriate image, which specific tool, toy, etc. were most commonly used by each player. For example, if your gruntz used a total of 3 powerupz, but 2 of them were the invulnerability powerup, then the invulnerability powerup image will be displayed. If no powerupz were collected, then the default image would be displayed alongside the 0.

Hello everyone this may sound like a dumb question but what are cursez? What do they do? I see them when I play battlez, I know they are the green sparkly items but I almost never use them. If I remember correctly I tried using one and it didn't seem like it had any effect? It would be great if you could help me. Thanks.

A suggestion to those of you playing Battlez in multiplayer mode: please go through a single Designer's Battlez before selecting another Designer. I can keep up with your submissions more easily if I can concentrate on a single person's submissions ... however many Announcements are involved, Release Years, the Battlez index, the various Alphabetical indices and graphics set indices ... and just one Designer index.
Another possibility is to select a single graphics set ... same ease of updating for me.

Now it's quite late for that, as we've already played through majority of Custom Battlez and are only finishing on the remaining ones!
Also, there are very few designers that made more than 2 Battlez maps and we're almost done with authors such as BattlezM or Chrystien. In terms of graphic sets we still left some diversity for ourselves, after all who would want to play 3 Battlez in the same area in a row?
