There are some topics about standard levels that doesn't contain a viewable map (image). Can I ask for adding them?
The levels with missing map images are:
- 1-st in Tropics; - All in Miniature Masters (topic about 1-st level contains screenshot of battle level for unknown reason); - 1-st, 2-nd and 4-th in Space.

The levels with missing map images are: - 1-st in Tropics; The background image of "Trouble In The Tropicz" is the image of "Toobin' It". I suppose I should make a note of that in the thread, and perhapz add a link so it may be viewed without "Forum stuff" covering most of it up. (Done, there is now a link to view it.) Added in a link for Stagez 2, 3 and 4. Corrected ... now showz the background image without "Forum stuff" covering most of it up. Linkz are now provided for what I have for Stagez 1, 2 and 4. Thank you for the feed-back! The correctionz would never have been made, if no one had told me about the omissionz!

Does it mean that you need to create complete imagez for those mapz? Anyway, great thankz for adding otherz! Those harder standard levelz are great reference when creating CLz.

I hope you realize that all of the Standard Level mapz are available for download ... as a reference tool for (would-be) Designerz. At least, the download linkz worked the last time I checked them. I just hope that that wasn't when we still had Neron Hosting for 24/7 on-line storage ... if so, the linkz may be 'broken'.

Yes, it's also the way - but I consider it more as a reference when I want to see how something was created. When I want to just take a look on level looking for inspiration, I prefer an image, because I don't need to open editor and all objectz are shown as graphicz, rather than squarez with letterz.

Most of those incomplete mapz are that way for (possibly) several reasonz: - They are very large
- My time is limitted
- Actionz take place that alter the map ... in areaz that overlap in my viewable screen, requiring extra screen grabz to catch a realistic state ... as of toggling bridgez, large areaz of Rolling Ballz, etc.
- The worst one ... Gruntz immediately under attack when the CL is started. (I want to be able to show the state before anything happenz to change it ... seldom truly possible.)
Right now, the major factor is item #2 ... limitted time.

I'm just reminding you that there are still missing full maps for space levels 1, 2 & 4... if you can put them (you also said they ARE available for download for designers but you didnt mention on which site ) it would be reeeeeeeeally helpful to me, thanx By the way I just logged here, as you can see this is my 1st message... this is a really great site for the best pc game I ever played! Well done!

That rotating download image is the link to download the Gruntz .WWD file ... everywhere that you see it in an announcement thread ... but not in this post. As for the full viewable mapz, since I am now on a laptop with Windows Vista, I cannot play Gruntz in the highest screen resolution (1024X768) any more. I can work in the medium screen resolution (800X600) which only givez me a useful image of about 23 tilez wide by 17 tilez high, maximum. If there are moving objectz in the map, I must catch them once (and only once), which further reducez the useful screen image. I do screen grabz, slightly overlapping those I have made previously, then start with the upper left-hand corner grab and expand it in size to (for example 2560X2560 pixelz) whatever is required for the entire map. Each screen grab is overlapped by about 40 pixelz in relation to the area to the right ... the size of the circle and 'Statz' box ... which I cut out of the final map. So the large mapz are rather time-consuming ... 16 to 25 screen grabz required, and (obviously) a lot more time involved in pasting them together into one large JPEG. I have been deeply involved with another aspect of my life (reading Star Trek novelz ... and creating inventoriez of all of the bookz I have ... and determining where I may acquire the onez I am missing), and have not even started up the Gruntz game in a couple of weekz. So it is not likely that I will be doing any full size imagez for old puzzlez ... and may not be able to do much for newly released onez as quickly as I have in the past. (I have acquired about two dozen novelz in the last month, and some of them require re-reading a novel preceding them in order to remember everything that went on before. So I have my nose buried in a book most of the time, and that will continue for at least another month, at the rate I read ... not an Evelyn Woods Reading Dynamics graduate, by any meanz! )
