I love going to the battle mode, however there is an issue I have with the battle mode. All the enemy grunts are on "difficult" as I want challenge. But there is one problem.
The enemy grunts have no idea how to use most of the tools.
For example, when a brick is golden brick, they keep breaking it with their gauntlets, and don't switch to timebomb instead.
In my Battle level The Oil Split even if the grunts had springs they didn't even think about going to the orange switch. And as far as I know they didn't use wings either. So I win that level every single time.
The only two tools the enemy grunts know how to use properly are gauntlets and shovels. Why weren't they programmed to know how to use springs and other tools?
This really removes the challenge. Another problem is when I use long range weapons like welder's kits and gunhats and they attack me from one title, they don't even try to walk away.
I would understand that the grunts had those flaws if I chose "easy" but I choose difficult every single time so there is no excuse.

Battlez were intended to be played by four human playerz over the Internet. (But that proved to be unworkable, due to the relatively slow speedz possible, so that an event started at 'X' was completed before the person at 'Y' could respond.) The computer opponentz were not programmed with an adequate level of 'intelligence', that is certainly true. The Battlez enemy Gruntz do not seem to have as much 'smartz' as the Questz Gruntz (who are not exactly MENSA material, themselvez), since they do not take actionz that Questz Gruntz frequently take ... such as entering a Crumble Bridge in pursuit of an enemy. The lack of enemy (artificial) intelligence is the reason why I quickly decided not to waste my time playing (or designing!) Gruntz Battlez puzzlez. (Besidez, I am a pacifist, at heart. )
