My name is Jo, I am 36 and medically disabled from the USAF. While I was in the AF (15 yrs) I lived in Oklahoma, Texas and Japan. I now reside in North Dakota with my fur kids...4 cats. My medical condition consists of a sever latex allergy and 2 failed stomach surgeries. In the AF I was a dental hygentist and ran a flight medicine clinic. After retirement I worked for gateway fixing their pcs, until my health turned for the worse. I am now unable to work. In my spare time (which I seem to have an abundance) I enjoy grunting, playing on the pc, reading, writing and drawing. I wrote this poem about a year ago and would like to share it with you all... The Angels In the soulless depths of Hell, The arm reaches... for lifes warm and forgiving shell. However, no forgiveness will be given this day, no matter how much... the Angels pray. For the Angels know something that the arm is unaware, The knife took its evil toll... the hand is no longer there. With pity, the Angels turn shadowed in tears and dismay, They know the struggle was lost... another soul was condemned today. I know the poem is intense, but I wrote it during an intense time in my life. Hope you like it. Jo

Jo, it's nice to meet you. I think your poem is beautiful! Included in my love of reading is a love of poetry. I cannot write it, but I love to read it. My husband spent four years in the USAF. Two of those years in VietNam and Saigon, the other two stateside. We don't have any kitties, but we do have a nine year old mini dachshund. Her name is Fanci. Hope you enjoy the forum.

Thank you for that poem, Jo, and for "Muerte!". Somehow, we missed getting that one into the Gruntz Custom Levelz Category, under Gruntziclez. That error of omission has now been corrected.
P.S. When may we expect your next CL?
