Nothing special.
Just a fond hello from me to you, the dedicated people who have kept this forum, this community and, in essence, this game going for such a long time.
Congratulations guys. Over the past (almost) twelve years there have been many interested people from all over the world involved in the discussion Forum. I believe that every continent has supplied Gruntz Fanz, and at one time we had Moderators from seven different time zones, Europe, Australia and the United States of America!
The longevity of this Forum and the game are proof of the excellent game play without beat-em/shoot-em/kick-em up violence. This game doesn't (usually) depend on a fast trigger finger ... instead on using Poirot's "little grey cells". With enhanced tile sets, it could be around for decades, but we don't have the source code for the proprietary parts of the software. If the digits of my age were reversed, I would happily reverse-engineer the game and expand its growth possibilities, but at 73 years of age, the learning curve is far too steep for me. The "young bucks" such as Zu, Tomalla and Hugeth would be required for such a task, and things like making a living for themselves and their families are stumbling blocks to the achievement. During my 38 years in computer programming and analysis, I wouldn't have been interested in such a side-line ... income was the driving force. If I won a lottery, and became independently wealthy, I would happily fund the creation of "Gruntz 2 - The Journey Continues".
