I have been religiously placing tiles in the 'normal' ground tiles (1 through 8) behind my King's Forts. Now I find that the King's Fort, and the walking King are transparencies! Whatever is laid down under the ExitTrigger is what one would see around the edges! That would indicate that if you used invisible tiles in those 9 tiles, you would see only the Fort/King images. I have never put 'Solid' tiles in those 9 places, and wonder what would happen (or NOT happen!) when the Grunt carrying the Warpstone Piece tried to enter?

He would be unable to enter the tiles containing the King's Fort. However, if you place death tiles, I'm fairly certain that he'd finish the level alive and well, as he does not finish stepping onto the tile before the game ends. You can place brickz that need to be broken or pyramidz to be lowered in order for the level to be finished, for example, though it looks weird and for that reason obstacles are generally placed around the Fort, instead. But I'm sure there's other things we can think of... In Questz, the Fort itself is also a solid obstacle for any Grunt not carrying the Warpstone piece, strangely enough.

There's problem with doing this. If the whole fort is not located on "normal" tilez (something like 1, 2, 3... maybe bridge will be also suitable), the fort will not works, your grunt can walk into it and in it, but the trigger will not be triggered -> you cannot win the game. Happened to me when I have decided to make only 2x3 ground for king's fort in lava pit...

Weird, I'm pretty sure I remember putting brickz on the fort on an old level of mine but I could be wrong.

I believe the consensus is, only 'Clear' or 'User' Tilez (such as Brickz and Pyramidz) may be used as background tilez for the ExitTrigger logic. And only if the 'User' Tile(z) are in their 'Clear' state.
