First off, the computer designers for some reason decided that Function Keys should take a back seat to such things as help (?), brighten display, dim display, wireless display, key back lighting, etc. So to do a Gruntz SAVE one must press both the fn key and the F5 key. A stupid reversal of what should have been an obvious process ... if one wanted to back light (or reverse the back lighting) then one combined fn with F5.
Secondly, I have searched (and searched, and searched) for the process required in order to do a simple "print screen" on this HP Envy 17: just the prt sc key? nothing captured to the clipboard; fn plus prt sc? nothing that I could see .. perhaps put things into insert mode; shift plus prt sc? nothing in the clipboard. Google search turned up various keyboard problems (physical ones, it seems) but nothing relating to the proper use of prt sc to put an image into the clipboard. Surprisingly, when I was in windows mode in my paint program (not in a Gruntz Quest) and pressed "prt sc" ... the clipboard was loaded with the full screen, including the open window I wanted to place an image into ... and not allowing me to toggle to the image I wanted to capture. So my ability to create "View the map!" images for Gruntzy things is now non-existent.
Has anyone with an HP Envy laptop (of any screen size) discovered how this #$^@$@ keyboard works?
Thinking about it, perhaps this is just another manifestation of the problem of running Gruntz on Windows 10 ... and this keyboard is not 'understood' by DGVooDoo. Perhaps a 'normal' keyboard (non HP Envy, that is) is capable of doing a print screen while in a Gruntz puzzle. C'mon, Windows 10 users, do some experimenting and help us out in determining exactly what must be done in order to play our favorite game (Gruntz) on a Windows 10 computer!
