I have the idea of coming up with a Gruntz Discord Server - and spreading news of the game around to other communities of games similar. Can I get some opinions on this?

A discord chat for Gruntz would be a good idea, but it wouldn't accomplish much if the main issue nowadays is that:
1) The game is not available in any way except illegal means 2) It has issues running on newer systems
I suppose if the server came with quick links to some information on how to deal with these problems, then it would have a higher chance of succeeding.

For over 13 years, this Forum has supplied access to much supporting information about the game of Gruntz, and I pay $7.99 every month for the 24/7 accessibility to all things (as we know them) Gruntz. What is not stored on our web site is frequently available from the provider's on-line storage site(s), as information about the software work-arounds to the problems inherent with computers running Windows 10.
There has been no definitive answer to whether Gruntz is 'abandonware', and thus make it possible for us to provide Gruntz to anyone desiring to acquire the game for the very first time. I have made Gruntz CDs available to those I know have owned legal copies of the game, but for whatever reason can no longer get their game to run. For example, someone who purchased the downloadable version from a licensed provider, but have since changed computers and were not able to 'port' the game to the new device. Others, I have asked the person to send me the non-functional CD-ROM, and provide a copy (LightScribe labelled) for little more than my cost of materials and postage, returning the original CD-ROM for continued proof of legal ownership. If anyone at Monolith Productions, Inc. would ever return my inquiries about the status of Gruntz, absolving me of any legal action for providing the game to anyone who wants it, I would do so gladly.

I am apart of a server that has a channel dedicated to ways getting the game and how to set it up. There are community servers for games such as Pokemon Revolution Online. The "Piracy" Won't be an issue, I can assure you.

Yo. As I replied to GooRoo, I am apart of a server that has literally everything you're talking about. The servers are private.

What is a discord server? Discord is a chat for gamers. It is a very slick program, you create a server and or join one, you make a rules channel, then you make channels and name them to what you want. Its a chatbox. Its - well, its its own concoction. prntscr.com/e8jjko <-- this is what it looks like, at least mine, I have a custom theme because I'm weeb trash, but you get the gist etc.

So such a server is just for communicating and not a "Play Gruntz over the Internet" solution?
