Of course, I am nearly at the end of the level it seems....my shovelz and strawz are on the pyramid with the gunhatz and the swordz. Shovelz has killed the gunhatz, and strawz has sucked up their goo. Shovelz gets the gauntletz and steps through the warp. He lands to the left. My other gauntletz steps through the warp near him (below the red and green pyuramid maze) and ends up below the first gauntletz. Trouble is, if they break the ice rocks near them, there is a timebomb inside and they both die. So, What ELSE should I do first?

You do have other Gruntz that are free to move about, don't you? Both of those Gauntletz Gruntz are expendable ... their purpose is to clear the way for the Gruntz to come. (Like a Toobz Grunt, for instance.)

At the moment, I have a shovelz, a strawz and a gauntletz. The shovelz will get the gauntletz (or the strawz, after he sucks up goo and creates a new gruntz. If I send both my gauntletz to the west through warps, that leaves me with a strawz/shovelz and a new gruntz. Where do I pick up the toobz and how do I proceed from there?

Also, the strawz/shovelz gets stranded on top of the mountain, as the blue warp disappears after one use by the gauntletz...

I will have to re-play this CL, in order to refresh my memory. It will take a bit of actual time (besides the game timer time) to get to the area (I think) you are describing. I will edit this message with what I find, when I have played it. Okay, now that I have played it through (again) to a "PERFECT!", I can give you instructions. Going through the Red/Green Pyramidz maze (where you start out with a GooberStraw Grunt and a Barehanded Grunt), Barehanded pickz up the first set of Gauntletz and breakz everything possible, picking up all of the Coinz, but leaving the second set of Gauntletz behind. Gauntletz turnz two GunHatz Gruntz into Goo Puddlez, which GooberStraw Grunt sucks up. Then GooberStraw goes to get the second set of Gauntletz, to satisfy the CheckPoint Switch with his buddy. One Grunt getz the Shovel, the other Grunt getz the GooberStraw. Only the Shovel Grunt goes to the top of the plateau, to exchange for the Gauntletz. He breakz the Rockz and getz the Coinz, and then goes through the Blue Warp. He breakz the Rock containing the TimeBomb, and is splattered into unsalvagable Goo dropletz (the reason there is a Goo Puddle in that spot ... needed to solve the puzzle). The GoberStraw Grunt only suckz up the Goo of the first two GunHatz Gruntz (on the western side) ... not the Goo of the other two GunHatz Gruntz; stepz on the Secret Switch, and gatherz up the four Coinz and the Warp Letter on the Island, and follows the SecretTileTrigger path to the Arrowz maze. Bake a new Grunt, and give him the Welder's Kit near the GruntCreationPoint. He setz the Yellow Toggle Switch(es) to create a path for the GooberStraw Grunt to take to the Black One-Time Switch. Then use the GooberStraw and Welder's Kit to maximum effect.

Thank you for taking the time to replay the level for me. I will have to destruct and start over as I already have both gruntz at the top of the mountain....no problemo. And, we leave for Alaska on Saturday, so if it's a while before I report back it to bug you about some other level, don't worry.

Ok, I couldn't stand it....I finished the level...BUT without the secret to the island at the top with the gauntletz and the rockz.....when my shovelz was walking around the bridgez with all the rolling snowballz, there was a red warp that appeared at the top left corner...as I approached it, the purple toobz jumped in it...was that it? and how do I enter it without him getting there first and what about going through the blue warp? Will I still get to do that and finish the level? Also, somewhere I missed a powerup...

I just realized that, although I sent a Shovel Grunt through the Red Warp, I didn't move him through the area to pick up the Warp Letter hidden there! But I still received the "PERFECT!" score ... strange ... there must be an error of omission in determining if everything has been done in the CL. (Any CL, actually ... I recall other instances where I went through a Red Warp, but did not pick up a Warp Letter.)

I didn't get a PERFECT score because I didn't go through the warp to the island at the top with the gauntletz and the rockz, even though I got the warpletters. Where is the secret to the island? There is a red warp in the rolling snowballz maze to the right, but a purple toobz gets there first. I think I may replay this CL later to see if I can do something differently, I don't know what, but I can't stand not getting a PERFECT!

Where the GooberStraw and Welder's Kit Gruntz cross the bridgez, the SecretTrigger is near the bottom of the middle Rolling Snowball track.

Thanks for the secret.... I was rereading the threads and realized that you said to leave the pair of gauntletz behind in the red/green pyramid maze so that the strawz can suck goo......I picked up the gauntletz, and each grunt killed one of the gunhatz...you need two sets to complete the checkpoint there anyway....when I got to the mountain, I had shovelz kill the two blue enemy gauntletz as well as all of the gunhatz. That way, when the gooberstrawz came along, he could suck up two blue and two purple gooz to bake a new one......This level was fun....thanks so much for your help!

I have found a glitch in this CL that I want to question....
In the area where strawz suckz goo and createz 4 new gruntz, who stand on their creation padz while using a resurrection scroll....
It seemz that most of the time, one, and sometimes two, of the new gruntz do not resurrect... I have had this happen on most occasionz...and have to completely destruct, and reload the game.
Only two timez have I been able to completely create all four gruntz, later making fatal mistakez that caused me to restart, and I cannot seem to figure out what it is that causez this to happen.
Any ideas? Do I have a faulty CL? Should I redownload the CL?

Two things to check for:
First, is your grunt using the resurrection spell standing close enough to all 4 goo puddlez? The resurrection spell is limited in the distance that the goo puddlez being resurrected can be from the grunt casting the spell. If the grunt casting the spell is standing too far away from one or more of the goo puddlez, they won't be resurrected (The converse is also true: sometimes you can inadvertantly resurrect a goo puddle you don't mean to by being too close it. Something I ran into while testing "Knightz Tour").
Second, how many gruntz do have on your team before using the resurrection spell? Remember that you are limited to no more than 15 gruntz on your team. So, if you have more than 11 gruntz on your team when you use the resurrection spell, then one or more of the goo puddlez will not come back to life. This was a common error that players made while playing the final stage of "Gruntz in Space." They usually left a spongegun grunt alive back at the beginning that was meant to die. In the end, they wound up one grunt short.

Apparently that was my problem...when I eliminated 4 gruntz at the area where the red warp is, I had no problem getting all 4 to resurrect at the end....and, I had to eliminate one grunt, going through a blue warp to end up at the end in order to have enough spaces for creating all the new gruntz....that is something I have never paid much attention to...but will from now on!
PERFECT! 37:03
Thanks for all your help! I have not completed Yellow Peril yet...it's on my list of long-lost levels, which aren't really lost, just not finished...I'll remember to keep track of my gruntz in that level.

thank you WalkingBear for asking most of the questionz and thank you GooRoo, FriedGruntzaholic and IdleAl for answering... I'm now on the checkpost with strawz and welderz... all the enemy gauntletz are goo and ashez... I sent one shovel through the RW... which way to go first - to the east with shovelz or to the west with strawz and welderz...

It really doesn't matter ... the eastern Grunt is out of the game ... just don't forget to give him a chance to dig up some dirt! The Warpstone is toward the west ... follow Horace Greeley'z advice ... "Go west, young (wo)man!"
