Since it's that time of the year again, my thoughts have been on Thanksgiving and then, of course, Christmas. A little bit of nostalgia has set in and the song "Over the River and Through the Woods" has been running through my mind. Well with my mind, I was inspired to do a new level. I don't think it will be very hard (mine never are). The object is to go over the river and through the woods to grandmother's, ...er the king's house. Gather up all your grunt buddiez, each bearing gifts, and meet up at the fort. Hope you all enjoy it. Edit: Excellent CL title and 'theme', Oldone! I am sure there are many Gruntzerz waiting on the edge of our seatz! P.S. To solverz ... remember that Gruntz will only carry one Tool (or one Toy!) at a time, and that a Scroll is considered a Toy. So be very careful what you pick up.

I have received the BETA version of this CL, without Voicez, etc. Bonnie will be adding those in, and if I don't find anything else that needz to be changed, it should be out in a few dayz!

GooRoo, I'm having trouble putting sound on the tar pit. I've followed your instructions in the GLE but still have no success. Also, thank you WalkingBear for your words of encouragement. They mean a lot to me. EDIT: #shivering# Must be the weather here. I tried to put the sound in again and it worked this time.

I have received an updated version of the CL today (haven't actually opened it yet ... the Forum messagez come first with me), so it will probably be distributed to everyone on the "Gruntz Fanz" e-mail list in a few hourz. Soon after that, it will be fully linked and placed where it belongz (Gruntziclez) for everyone else to download at their leisure.

The check (er, Custom Level) is in the (e-)mail! You should also be able to download it from the original post in this thread, if you happen to be on-line here right now, and don't want to re-open your e-mail service.

No, you didn't miss anything ... if you have a Toob Grunt standing on a Blue Toggle Switch . In my e-mail, I cautioned everyone that this one is nasty ... and that it wasn't so easy to go "over the river". The other part of its nastiness is the "thru the woods" part ... because of the Moundz and Ice Crystalz . It is soooo easy to miss something in those dark ol' woods!

I finally managed to go through this CL without forgetting to dig up a Mound or break an Ice Crystal or ( ) get the Gooberstraw and bake a new Grunt! (That alwayz required sending a grunt (or sometimez two or more Gruntz!) back across that bridge ... and then come back again! ) So I managed to cut almost 7 minutez off my original (non-cheating!) solving time. There are many little puzzlez in this CL that make it rather challenging: - how to release the Grunt surrounded by Ice Crystalz (with no Gauntletz!)
- how to get the Grunt off the plateau (with no stairway!)
- how to get the Grunt out of the Arrowz maze (I didn't even see the path to it, the first time! )
- how to satisfy the Yo-Yo CheckPoint Switch in order to get the Toyz in the cemetery
All told ... very well done, Oldone!

Congratulations, Gaby and thank you for that little germ of an idea. I think, GooRoo, that I'm just learning to think a little to one side of the box.

Gosh, I hate to give away too much, but. . . well, if you can't get to the red warp that opened in the corner, maybe you needn't try. As for the cemetery, there is a checkpoint with a certain toy on it that can only be found in the cemetery. There are open corners on the cemetery for a reason.

Thanks, Oldone....it was great! That Red Warp was a nice (and necessary!) touch by oldone to take care of the return Red Warp ... you aren't supposed to be able to enter it! (If you did, the Grunt would be stuck on the top of that plateau with no stairway. )

Well, I nearly made it through the first time....that brigdge is a doosey!!!! I agree. I was able to easily get all my gruntz past the bridge--except the toobz. He kept getting stuck on a toggling segment. I had save at every "safe" point to get him past it. Think "Get Those Toyz Outta My Kitchen!" There was strategy that was utilized in that level that was necessary to solving it. In other words, try putting one of the toys from cemetary down so another grunt who doesn't have a toy can pick it up.

If you look to the north, there is a landing so the toobz doesn't have to go through the toggling bridge. I'm really not that mean.

Oh, I am sorry to generate so much posting on my account....actually, I started thinking outside the box...literally "Get Those Toyz Outta My Kitchen!" is exactly what I thought....
So, it's another PERFECT! Thank you so much Oldone...I know there's not a mean bone in your body!
