Did you look at my other battle levelz? I know I sent more than one to you Goo Roo. While I was (forced!) off-line, I spent a bit of time in play-testing Gruntz Questz CLz, but have not made it to many Battlez CLz ... yet. I looked at "BrickMaze" briefly, but happened to be stuck with the two Fortz to conquer that were surrounded by z or z (unbreakable) and the one surrounded by z (Teleporterz) (my Fort was surrounded by z (Gauntlet-breakerz)), and the GruntzMachine refused to send me any TimeBombz or even Suicide Bombz! After about twenty minutez of such frustration, I quit and went on to something else.

For my game and editor, brick typez in battlez should be atomatically shuffled around, no matter what type of brickz are shown on the level editor .

Then I was simply the victim of bad luck, with the Fort assignmentz. If Brickz are assigned by the Gruntz game engine in Battlez, without symmetry, my own experience demonstratez the unfairness of that process. Thus, I would design a Battle either without Brickz at all, or with a minimum of them, none of which stackz higher than a single Brick. Certainly not with dozenz of triple-deck Brickz.
Just look at the list of my CLz, and you will see that I have not released a single Battlez CL. So my experience with Battlez is virtually non-existent. Rest assured that I will take note of the thingz that I have seen in otherz' Battlez mapz (if I ever release a Battle) and not include any of the thingz that I find objectionable in my limitted testing of Battlez sent to me. Let my experience (and objectionz) to BrickMaze simply be a warning to future Designerz about the problem of having Brickz in a Battle.

well, I myself have had bad luck in battle levelz . One time in "the Way the Cookie Crumblez, I needed a shovel to kill the last enemy. But the game would not give me one . The way to work around those annoying gold brickz is to make a large row of brickz (the standard battle, Rumble in the Rockz is a perfect example of that). Note: I know a ton of stuff on the way the AIz in gruntz behave . The AIz just do not get some simple conceptz. AIz are only designed to read tile valuez around them and to act upon that, they do not get an overhead view of the level and thus do not respond very well to logic hazardz. I'm postive that many battle playerz have very often seen enemiez walking into RBz, thunder cloudz, and static hazardz. The only thing AIz detect are tilez (note: AIz will not walk on arrowz), fortz (so they can conquer them), toolz, power-upz (only if they are barehandz however), and other enemiez (they detect them so well that they are often distracted from their main goal). The toughest part in making a battle is in making it challenging enough for the player to conquer a fort, but not so hard that the AIz can't conquer the fort. AIz know how to work switchez, but not too well. They can't operate purple switchez and are bad with orange onez. Also when making a level you need to be careful where you put the switch, if a switch is placed badly the AI will not detect it and will merely stand in fornt of the object (pyramid, sunken bridge). Note: if a switch is behind brickz an AI with try to go towardz it directly, so if it runz into a gold brick, it keepz trying to break it again and again (you may have see this in the standard battle, "Casino Conflictz"). It will continue to try to break that brick and will not step aside to try a different one (it will try a different brick, but in rare casez). One time, I was playing the standard level, "Goo on the Greenz". Some gold brickz in the right placez made my fort near impossible to be conquered . So I was able to win with 1 grunt ! So making levelz with only brickz and holez in the way are the best option when designing a level everyone (including the mindless AIz) to be played. You may add a couple of switchez and RBz of course. Goo Roo, if you'd like you may expand the path of brickz leading to a fort so for some placez there is a choice of 2 or even 3 brickz to break, you may .

For my game and editor, brick typez in battlez should be atomatically shuffled around, no matter what type of brickz are shown on the level editor . I think I get it. In this Battlez level, there's one--and only one-- narrow path into each fort. To successfully reach the opposing fortz, one must alternately fill in holez and break brickz along this path. Unfortunately, when GooRoo played it, the paths to the opposing fortz were blocked with at least one (and probably more than one) unbreakable brick requiring either timebombz (preferably) or a suicide bomb to get past. Unfortunately, the random number generator written into the Battlez code to generate the Item ID# for the next item (tool, toy, or brick) to be sent down the grunt machine was not generating the numbers for the bombz or timebombz. The frustration was not so much with the brickz as with the random number generator. An ability to attack the fort from more than one direction would have averted the frustration by not relying on the generosity of the gruntz machine in providing the only tool that would do the job.

Edit: (GooRoo) Followed the link to the web host, downloaded the map, removed the dashes in the filename and changed the 'Author' line from "Monolith Productions, Inc." to "Atti1992" and made it available from this Forum's web host ... RumbleInTheIce.wwd.

Rumble in the ice AVOID THIS ONE
Edit: (GooRoo) Followed the link to the web host, downloaded the map, removed the dashes in the filename and changed the 'Author' line from "Monolith Productions, Inc." to "Atti1992" and made it available from this Forum's web host ... RumbleInTheIce.wwd.
It appears that "...Ice" is "RumbleInTheRockz" modified to use the "Gruntziclez" graphics set, so perhaps "Monolith Productions, Inc." is the more appropriate "Author".
Changing a map from "Rocky Roadz" to "Gruntziclez", "Trouble In The Tropicz" or "High On Sweetz" is fairly easy, since the tile sets are nearly equivalent among the four; moving into the other four graphics sets is more difficult, since the tile numbers do not match those in the first four areas. Changing graphic set among the same foursome usually only is a hassle in the EyeCandy (BehindCandy) Objectz ... "Tree" to "PalmTree", for instance. Those Objectz not compatible show up as a smiley face in bright yellow and are easily spotted for correction.

This one is obviously different than the first submission! I have not examined it yet, so do not know if the author field has been changed from MPI or not. If it has been change, is that what you desire for your 'handle' from now on?

This bears similarities to "Rumble In The Rockz" (the Rocky Roadz battle), in reduced size. You show a date of 2013, but "Attila1992" is unknown to this Forum. Where did you find the map? And will we be permitted to offer it here? There are fewer than 10 puzzles available here which were NOT submitted by the author, and I prefer to have permissions to offer anything, if the author can be contacted.

There's a registered user on this forum, called "atti1992", and he linked the same map back in 2015 (you can look a few posts higher and you'll find it), so I think that was the original creator and he wanted the level to be released.

Thank yoou for finding the near 'handle' that is probably the Designer. Today I will follow up, and make the Battle fully available.

I get a message that the file no longer exists. That's frequently a problem with 'free' hosting sites.
