Yes, it is possible to create more than 10 save slotz
, but they can not all be used at once.
First you need to access your gruntz folder (right click "start", then "explore"). You will see the 10 save slotz a-wayz down in the scroll menu. They are SAV filez.
In order to make your copied save slot, select the icon (or drag over multiple iconz) and press ctrl-C. Then press ctrl-V out onto the desktop. The file(z) will be copied out onto the desktop.
You can now save over the file in the gruntz game and still have the slot you replaced out on the desktop.
In order to replace the save slot on the desktop, you can not drag it straight back in! In order for the save slot to work, you must have it saved in the same level that the save slot you have copied out was in. Afterwardz you just drag the save slot back into the folder. It will ask you if you want to replace it or not, say yes.
For example, If you were playing "LightHouse" and decided to make a copied save slot, you must save the same numbered slot in the game in "LightHouse". It will not work if you have it saved onto another level, the game will crash. If this happenz to you, must copy the SAV file back onto the desktop and save over the corrupted save slot. Then you have to remember which level that save slot had (if you can't, it'z a goner).
If you do not want to lose the current save slot in your game, you may temporary move the SAV file into a separate folder than the gruntz one.
It is possible to have an enormous amount of save slotz by stuffing copies of save slotz into just about every other folder that would not conflict with it, but it is very problematic. You can not rename them, that meanz you will likely completely lose track of all of them.
Thingz to keep in mind:
If you want more than 10 save slotz out on the desktop, it is not possible since the desktop complains that the namez are the same.
Never attempt to rename the SAV file, it will not work otherwise. Or, at least, you would have to rename it back.
You can not select the icon and drag it out onto the desktop, this will remove it from the game and leave you with less than 10 slotz.
The reason for why the game crashez for replacing the SAV filez incorrectly is likely that it does not know that the save slot has changed when you copy over it. If it is trying to load the level, it has the outline (graphicz, logicz, tilez) of whatever level used to be in there. However, when the copied save slot has a different outline of the one it thinkz should be there, it getz confused and promptly crashez.
It may be possible to avoid this by deleting the save slot and then dragging in the copied one, but I am not sure of it yet.
