I have XP and am using the 1024x768 patch without a hitch. (It might help that my default resolution for Windows is 1280x1024 )

I repaired the linkz in the original post in this thread ... but it seemz that I have not uploaded the (Windows XP ... but seemz to work on most Windows) screen patch to my new web host. When I return home 6+ hourz from now, I will upload it and ensure that those linkz work.
This post is made at 5:40AM ... I believe the download should be available by 12:30PM at the latest.

Try resetting your desktop to 1024 and see it that helps. It did mine. Mine was already set at 1024 x 768 and it did not help. When I try to run the 1024 patch, the game will act as though it is going to start but then just closes. But it runs fine with the 800 patch. the same thing happened to me need a little help

I have windows XP SP3 not vista The patchez work just fine with Windows XP (Home Edition) in its most current version (mine). (My computer is automatically updated whenever Microsoft providez anything new for their productz which are installed on my computer.)

Or perhaps your CD/DVD drive is blowing up - I mean, failing.

help, please, somebody recently i replaced the memorycard'ikeep getting"cd-rom not found, play spawn mode?" the cd-rom in its place though, any suggestion??? thanks baba Does this happen only when you start the game from a shortcut or does it happen all the time? I occasionally (sometimes frequently--just depends on the mood of my drive apparently) get this error message when I start Gruntz. And it seems to happen only with the Gruntz disc. And always only when I attempt to start the program from the desktop shortcut. Usually, all I have to do is eject the disc, then reinsert it and it starts up. Also, check your disc for cleanliness. A disc that has fingerprints, scratches, etc., all over it will give the laser readers in some drives fits and make it hard to start.
