Gruntz does work on Windows Vista, but it has some problems. It has the same resolution problem as Windows XP, for example. This is not fixed with the XP patch, so I have modified the patch to make it work with Vista. List of compatibility problemz encountered so far: Problem: | Fix/workaround | Resolution doesn't change in Options | Resolution patch for Windows Vista (avaliable from my site) | Game crashes on quickload | Use the normal load option |
Surprisingly, Gruntz appearz in the Games folder on Windows Vista.

Upgrade with confidence: Gruntz works perfectly on Windows Vista. It has the same resolution problem as Windows XP however, fortunately the patch workz. Surprisingly, Gruntz appearz in the Games folder on Windows Vista. That is, indeed, good newz! My next move may well be to purchase one of those notebook computerz with external monitor plug-in capabilitiez, and that would (of course) mean Windoze Vista (Microsoft still doez not know how to create a true multi-tasking computer ). The positive note on Vista is that (perhapz) Internet Explorer may have been fixed to actually go away when you close it! On my XP (Home Edition) computer with IE7, when an attempt is made to close it, it clearz itz own window, but doez not go away! I have to click on the close gadget several timez, until I get the "end now?" dialog ... and then (after some delay) the window goez away, and then I get the "report this problem?" dialog. I have reported it dozenz of timez, but I have never seen an update to IE7. Micro sloth would be a more appropriate name for the company.

Strange... I have never experienced any problems with IE7... But I do use FF2 most of the time. Perhaps you should go to Microsoftz homepage to download it once again. If something went wrong during the installation, this would explain your problems. If that doesn't work, use Firefox, Opera or some other browser.

I use Mozilla Firefox for my browsing ... most of the stupid programz in this world default to IE. So when the automatic Internet connectionz take place, I have this problem of being thwarted in my attempt to remove this virus from my computer when the on-line session started by some other program is finally complete.

I also forgot to mention that I think that the patch only workz if compatibility mode is set to Windows XP (Service Pack 2). I have also disabled visual themes (i.e. Aero) for Gruntz.

Visual themes are simply what your computer looks like: Vista has Aero, etc.
