An Ethernet network is the best way to go.

A "null modem" is a wired connection for dial-up (or Ethernet ... or USB?) that 'twistz' the different signalz so that output on one side is seen as input on the other side.

well dose usb count as serial connection ingruntz cause i want to play gruntz on network and i need some one that tried it to tell me a working way

I played a Battle fine with my father on our home network once. No cables or anything.
