Forgive me if wrong forum.
I have had the interest in trying to develope a non frustrating and real fun level by myself, but with all that talk about these I have read so far, leads me to wonder, is it very hard for a person like me, with no experience with mod design in general, very hard to make one custom level from scratch, what woulld you give, one with like years of experience?

Mod design? I'm sure Gruntz isn't one of those games, which you can add mods to. I do every my CL from scratch, and I don't think it's the matter of number of years you've spent on it. Adding tilez is easy ... only problem would be with Objects ( Eye Candies, Switches, Teleporters, and ... Gruntz of course ). You have everything listed in your Help Files - open Gruntz Level Editor and press F1; the topic "Game Logics" consists of every ( almost ... but every needed ) logic you can add on your map. You have here ( on this forum ) tutorial about GLE ( Gruntz Level Editor ) as well. What can I say ... If you'll read any of those resources, you'll manage to create your first Custom Level very easily And soon, you won't have to read them at all, because everything is quite intuitive. On the other hand, if you'll have any problems getting something work properly, you can always ask your questions here, on forum. For sure you'll get a satisfying answers Cheers

Okay this sounded like its not going to be rocket science, well I like to read so that not an issue for me, will keep in mind to poke in here if stuck, I hope to do this soon once I get time, I can feel it in my bones that my first level might be a good experience, just downloaded the GLE, so I hope..

It's true, you do not have to be a rocket scientist to create a game, but my advice to you before starting, play some of the CLz and you'll get the idea to create challenging gamez... Good luck...

Of course, your first few weekz/monthz of level design will need frequent visitz to the GLE manual, because it's not easy to memorize all the logic namez and the role each field takes for each logic.

This was easy to learn, just one thing where my toes are holding at. There is one thing that I just couldn't find from the manual anywhere, pray I hope i'm not blind, I have managed to replicate those helpboxes from standard levelz, into custom level and its fun reading, but I have no clue how to write my own messages on these? These [?] mark cards your Gruntz walk onto and opens that card, for you to read, that kind of box I meant. [edit] Unfortunately you can't; those messages are built in the game and you can choose between standard messages only. There was a list somewhere on forum, where all valid numbers are listed, and what message they are related to. ==Edit They all are listed here: gooroosgruntz.info/editor/HelpBoxez.html Thank you.
