Yes Tomalla, I see no way to get to any other area. I don't know what you mean by the end of the foss. What??

Yes Tomalla, I see no way to get to any other area. I don't know what you mean by the end of the foss. What?? I believe 'foss' relatez in some way to water, or a pool of water. There are several "secret entrancez" into the castle, and there is one 'way over there, only reachable from "the moat".

How could I know that the term 'foss' no one understands? It was next to the 'moat' in my dictionary, there was 50% chance of using it.

Tomalla, don't feel bad because I learned a new word. It's great!! It's wonderful!! Unfortunately, I'm still stuck where I was on the level. Looked all over with my toobz and still can't find the secret entrance. I guess I'll have to wait for the walkthrough if there is one.

Just click on the left side of the Castle, with your Toob Grunt selected, and he will paddle his way over and go through the secret entrance. "No problem-o!"

At the left side of our "moat" there are some TANKS which are covering ... exactly, what are they covering? Beneath the tanks a Black Pyramid is hidden which is lowered with a switch in the right half of the castle IIRC. Just walk in there and do what has to be done Yup, that's it.

Thanks Tomalla. That explains why I couldn't get in there. Now I just have to figure out where the switch is to lower it. So far I've found nothing.

OK, I figured out that part and dug as much as I could with my shovelz and exposed to 2 Purple switchez, but can go no farther. Purple pyramidz are trapping 2 of my gruntz on the right side and I have one at the top right by blue pyramidz. Think I need to start over at the point when I send gruntz to different areaz, but who goes where? I must have lost my touch, because I am really confused.

Blue pyramidz? That's new. Anyway, you should have an additional Toob in resourcez - give it to the third Grunt and join your fourth - that way you have two Gruntz now. Press those two Purple Switches and release the other two

Can someone tell me, please, what happens when I press the second "?" switch? I can't find it. Plus, I have some remarks about the gameplay: - I would understand and accept the part with green pyramidz (the "bush") if I would need to pass it only once. But being forced to pass it 6 or 7 timez is... annoying, to say the least. I would suggest to add some green teleporterz that are unlocked after passing it with springz grunt, allowing to move in both directionz and completely skip the green pyramidz. I understand the idea of secret entrance, but shouldn't the game be enjoyable rather than annoying? Also, I suggest to replace the "safe" green pyramidz with some different colour, so the solver will not die just because he forgot which pyramid was safe. I would also suggest to add some impassable tilez around the pyramidz to avoid situation of grunt walking into space just because of a miss-click (and believe me, it happens too often). - Maybe it's just me and the fact that I've got used to the level design provided by the game developerz, but I alwayz had an association that "?" switch is just a secret and is not required to pass the level. And I was rather surprised when I've realised that this first one is required. As well as second and, probably, otherz. - In my personal opinion, CLz shouldn't have any illogical thingz required for further progress in the level. And yellow switchez magically appearing after filling and digging up a hole certainly weren't logical. The idea of a plot and especially turning the CL into one big artwork are obviously great ( ), but flawz listed above (hopefully, there will be no more of them) makes the CL less enjoyable than it could be.

I tried, but most of those that I've tested are designed in a way that forced me to abandon them soon after start. The reason was usually the same: being lost and without the idea about where I should go (I prefer having one clearly visible, linear way of processing through the level) or encountering some problem that I didn't knew how to solve (the Legend is so far the only one that I've decided to not abandon, but instead, ask here how to solve the problem). So yes - I haven't played many CLz so far. I'm too much used to standard onez...

So yes - I haven't played many CLz so far. I'm too much used to standard onez... Paul, in "A World Of Sweetz", used a number of thingz that otherz have picked up on ... such as the "Magic Shovel" ... fill in a Hole and dig up the Mound to reveal an ordinary tile with a prize or a Tool ... or something deadly in it. Gamer introduced a Red Warp that 'exchanged' the solver's Grunt with an enemy Grunt. That has also been used extensively. I discovered a 'bug' that has since been treated as a 'feature' ... a switch other than a Question Mark Switch associated with TileSecretTrigger logicz, that made the change permanent. It happened by accident in "Lamont Cranston" as I was doing my ALPHA testing, and I experimented rather heavily with it in "Metamorphosis", which I released as a curiosity. Many Custom Levelz submitted by people who discovered the joyz of the Gruntz Level Editor contained multiple Secretz ... and multiple Warp letterz. I have been quite guilty of that, myself. But I have recently tried to "amend my wayz" and get back to one Red Warp leading to a (single) Warp letter , and one Question Mark Switch . What's done has been done, and won't be changed ... but perhapz we can get back more closely to the original Monolith ('Standard Levelz') puzzlez. On another note: It has occured to me that it is possible (or seemz that it will become possible in the near future) to have multiple Gruntz.REZ filez ... which will allow the combination of talented graphicz artistz and yourz truly to generate eight new graphicz setz! "City Scape" (example CL name) would use Gruntz1.REZ, with all new ground/level change/water/bad water tilez, and "Rolling Rockz" that look like automobilez ... for one example. All of the Switchez/Pyramidz/etc would remain exactly as in the original eight graphicz setz, and the Tile Propertiez would be based upon the originalz, as well.

... It IS possible?! How great! With some graphical artistz knowledgeable in creating objectz as a bunch of framez, we can practically create Gruntz 2 on our own! With some limitationz of course, but possibilities are still huge! (Ah, if we only could receive the game code...). I could suggest even some worldz for this purpose... and even work on it a bit, as long as it doesn't require creating any framed thingz. But I think that it's a discussion for another topic, let's keep talking about Legend CL in this one.

Yeah, I finally got the PERFECT!! My problem was that I sent the wrong gruntz at the wrong timez to the wrong areaz, but that's what it's all about. Oldone, I really enjoyed the level even though I had problemz figuring it out. It makez getting the PERFECT that much sweeter! Also, I know that you've heard it before, but the graphics were beautiful. I know you must have put a lot of work into the whole level.
