The Gruntz have happened upon a strange place on their way back to Groan. A strange hydro power site with new mechanisms laid about everywhere. They notice a that there is a simply absurd amount of radioactive cratez and tankz carelessly lining the shores of the channelz, with some even clogging some channelz entirely. The gruntz dwell further in to investigate more carefully... Very long name yes (may be subject to change...), as you may be able to tell, it's a bit of a spoof off of the standard Gruntz level titled "Could Someone Get Those Purple Switchez for me?" In addition to having to remove a lot of gun hatz for warpstone to pass by (also the result of the funny size, I underestimated the space I needed multiple timez , and kept making it taller and taller), there is a massive unconventional theme added in.

I just received this one today for the first time, and played at it a bit ... without benefit of the commentz in the announcement post. Played enough to know that there are nine instancez of "mutually assured destruction" ... and probably one Grunt giving his all ... and leaving nothing behind. Normally, I would be spending some time right now creating the "View the map!" JPEG ... but I anticipate some changez ... at least, I hope my first suggestion will be followed. And since I am having a hard time keeping my eyez open right now, I will return to play-testing tomorrow, after my morning breakfast meeting.

Well, I changed " Purple" to " Pink" (more accurate anyway, since the GunHatz are Post Guardz , not Defenderz ) ... does that help?

you are right, and the "!!!" makes it even better (NOT)... note for all the designerz: please do not add exclamation markz nor question markz to your CLs name and make it as short as possible... e.g. OMG = OH MY God, an all kind of acronymz... it makes life easier... thank you

I am back to testing this CL, after side-tracking myself into "something easier" ... creating map imagez for year 2003 releasez without them. That is done, so I have no excuse not to get back to verifying this one, in order to release it.

I am making no headway on this one ... perhapz someone younger will have more success at BETA testing this one. It certainly will need a walk-through for most solverz to be able to complete it! I think I am just not "getting the hang" of those reusable Secret Switchez ... not able to "think outside the box" enough to make it work. And with only two SAVE slotz available (I finally managed to free up one!), it requirez too many re-startz when I discover I made a mistake TWO SAVEz ago!

Well, I can test it. Since BattlezM is away, he can't send it to me. Will you?

Tomalla has managed to bring the Warpstone piece to the King, and capture the Statz Page screen image! But although he located 44 Coinz , one of them was not counted. He is working on my suggestion that the problem Coin may be on some sort of Bridge tile, thus not easily countable. With the game timer time for the solution of this one, and the number of Secret Switchez (NOT Question Mark Switchez! ) which temporarily change thingz into water areaz, I do not think many solverz would want to SAVE every time a Silver Timer Switch with timebombz atop it is pressed ... and thingz happen quickly (and for short duration), trying to ensure a Coin is counted.

I thin the only coinz that stand a chance to not be counted are the 2 on the crumble bridge tilez..but I made sure that glitch is easily avoidable. What is this other problem coin?

It's not that easy. In short, I listed all the coins and made a little "legend-map" and I have double-checked, that I've picked up all of the coins in my final slot! Later, when cheating, I've picked up all coins once again and it ... did it all of them. So I guess the game didn't count one single random coin, maybe because of a timing involved in picking it up? Dunno. If you want, if anyone does, I can send this "legend" with my final slave slot as well, so someone could (double-) check if my double-checkz weren't enough

I will distribute this one today to everyone on the Gruntz Fanz address list, with a "caveat emptor" about one flaky Coin . If an update is made, ensuring that all Coinz are alwayz counted, it will be the solverz' responsibility to download the revised map via the original link in the announcement post. (A post will be made when such a new version is available.)

I almost finished the level except for one thing. One of the gunhatz has to walk over a bunch of spikes to get to his blue wormhole so his health is down before he starts his battle with the enemy gunhat. There's no way he can possibly survive to let the warpstone grunt through. Help please.

There's no way he can possibly survive to let the warpstone grunt through. Help please. Your Sponge-Gun Gruntz were supposed to help him pass the spikes fields. Just shoot at the spikes field and just before a ball lands, order your GunHat Grunt walk on the same spikes field. He'll get knocked-out behind this field without taking any damage. Repeat it few times until your GunHat Grunt will have enough health to fight another opponent. If you're at the end of the CL ... well, you'll have to go back a *little*.

I thought about that in the meantime. How about this. How do you get the coin by the BOTS that's just east of the brown brick field with the W in it? I can't find any way in there. There're no warps or secrets to get in there. What's the deal?

Okay, I finished it with the same elusive coin missing. (43 of 44) The last, long series of silver pyramids was a killer. Hesitate for a fraction of a second and you're goo. Good level though. Very imaginative.
