Is it possible to capture (about) fifteen framez of that rotating? If so, it would make a good Rolling (something) rock(?) for that graphicz set. And there should be viewz from all four cardinal directionz ... is that even possible (to capture)? Or is there a program that will transform the sample image, rotating it 24 degreez (one fifteenth of a complete circle/sphere) in the four cardinal directionz?

If you're able to retrieve the texture of this forcefield from the SC2's filez (assuming that in original version it doesn't contain any sort of space ship in it), then I might be able to turn it into proper "rock" with some simple 2D rotating... as I don't know any sort of program able to make the 3D rotating basing on a single 2D image. (Unless the game filez containz framez of this forcefield rotating, in this case the whole process would be veeeery easy.)
If it's impossible to retrieve the texture from the game filez though, then it would require help of someone knowledgeable enough in the Photoshop to remove the ship, as it's rather beyond me to do it properly.

Yea, it should be possible to get just the forcefield. The sc2 editor might actually be powerful enough to let me create an invisible object, put the forcefield around it, then animate it to roll. There'z our rolling rock right there.

The mentioned thingz (transistors, resistorz etc.) have proven to be too problematic for me (a bit embarrassing, I know), so at the end, I've decided to use graphicz found on the net. The first post obviously updated. Were the BattlezM able to get the forcefield from SC2? I can replace the current version of rolling ballz, but I need imagez to do so. And the main thing... we *do* have a tool that allowz to turn everything into proper formatz and pack it into new REZ file, don't we?

Unfortunately I am too busy with college and lack access to the sc2 editor on a good computer to be able to pull that off, sorry. I may be able to dig something up in December, when I go home for vacation.

Okay, I've uploaded raw - i.e. png - graphicz (first post) so everyone can check them, and to avoid the possibility of losing the filez in some unknown way. It containz also my propositionz for the new soundz. If anyone has some questionz or ideaz about them, feel free to post it.

Little update in the first post, since I've learned that tilez 97 and 98 are not Clear but Solid instead, in which case I needed to replace some of the graphicz. Now the "Pool" and "Hill" tilez (37-38) will contain a Clear tilez for small, unusual "bridge" over the pit and a passable invisible tile - the second one providez some additional wayz of puzzle creation. Tilez 97 and 98 are replaced with impassable "!" sign - one for each of two ground patternz. BattlezM, were you able to check this forcefield by any chance? It's not December yet, but maybe... And, how about these programz that would allow to turn these graphicz into a working REZ file?

And, how about these programz that would allow to turn these graphicz into a working REZ file? You can use PCX2PID and WinREZ. I can also write a dedicated "installer" to automatically patch REZ with your tileset (so people won't need to download whole REZ).

If I had a non-corrupted version of WinREZ(LT), I would be able to resume the effort to distribute Version 1.12 of Gruntz, with the seven additional Secret Levelz. Alas, my firewall detectz an "identifying info Trojan", and quarantinez the program.

By such patch you mean: 1. Adding my tileset as a separate, "ninth" world to the original REZ? 2 Overwriting the graphicz in the one that I want to replace (namely Gruntz In Space)? 3. Creating a copy of original user's REZ and replacing its graphicz with my onez? The second option is not a good idea, since I want to have this world as a separate one (even if it would require to create separate REZ for it). But if the first or third one is possible, then great! That would make thingz far more easier. And no chances for "healing" it? Someone must know how to fix this problem...

You could look into GRUNTZ.ZZZ, which appears to be some kind of patching rez of some sort. It's added to your Gruntz folder when you patch the game to 1.01 and contains the updated levels. Although I haven't tried it myself, you could try putting your new tileset in an "Area 8" folder on a new GRUNTZ.ZZZ file and see if that works. Perhaps I'll try it myself with, say, a custom level that replaces the first Rocky Roadz level to see if it replaces the original.

Otherwise, second (with option to uninstall Virtual Reality, so player can get back to original tileset).

But the second one will completely mess up all levelz based on Gruntz In Space, and will be problematic in general... oh well, we'll see does using separate REZ in a CL (as GooRoo suggested) is possible, then we will decide.

Actually I'm unable to continue my projects due to my work, but in Christmas break I'll get to work on that. I'll finish REZ Extractor (which is almost complete), then something to edit REZ's, so you'll be able to continue work on your mod.

Zu, can you provide the individual tilez and EyeCandy imagez either as individual JPEGz (or GIFz, etc.) or as an archive of all of them? I would prefer something that WinZIP or WinRAR can process, if an archive.

I just looked at the map, and did not notice the right side with the download gadget. Q. Why all those folderz with exactly one image, when the folder is properly named for the image within it? It is almost as if you were planning several choicez for each.
