It’s been a while, hasn’t it… well, anyhow, I’ve come here to write my ideas for disgruntled (if the project will be more big to edit in JAVA in the future): I always like a total conversion than a sequel, the tc works with the code and is always editable, while the sequel is scratch starting and programing, after a few chats with hugheth I came to like his project and ideas, I think a fan sequel will really be great with his ideas, but let’s see if more can be added to the mix:
I’ve started sketching some ideas for disgruntled and wish to know your opinion of them, a bit ambitious but interesting none the less:
1 Worlds: The various hosted tile sets I have on my mediafire account would come really handy in this one; I have so many worlds (zu’s hell, graveyard, beach. Candy land ver. 2, garden, factory, raster and Christmas themed worldz, so much more).
2 Toolz Toyz, Brickz: I think that they’re shold be more tolls (say rapsetting kit, shotgun, lightsabers, abit far I see, ^^. Medical pack gruntz, info gruntz, etc.) Toys: a racket ball, various balls, toy trucks, etc.). Bricks: Zu’s freeze brick, or a fire brick that either burns the grunt on contact or creates a small lava whole in it’s place.
3 More enemies to fight, a bigger campaign but most importantly mods:
Say matrix Gruntz, you’ll have:
Orange – player’s grunt
Green – Agents
Purple, red, etc. – Police, System defenders (like in the movies)
Blue – oracle guardians
White, Turquoise, Black – Frenchman’s programs
Phone booth – exit point and major level goal (like in the movies).
Like in nox: Various magical works:
Conjurers and necromancers that summon zombie gruntz.
Warrior gruntz: Fight with armor and heavy weaponary
Ninjas and shoguns- stealth mod.
Ability to edit levels sounds, tiles, etc.
A big online/ multiplayer experience (co op, coalition.)
Time effects (rewind like in prince of Persia).
I’ve also been working with club penguin sprites (putting the head items onto the gruntz, a bit tricky, but still.) Anyway, these are my ideas, So what do you think? I know it’s a lot but hey, imagination is the key. Most of my ideas weren’t just for disgruntled but for gruntz in general. I wish luck not only to hugheth , but to everyone as well. Here're some ideas to add to dizgruntled - Extras:
1: Stealth mode: a team will take a fort/ kill a target by stealth (speed roids,invisiability - for short time). The fort/target will have more fortification' security, help and resources than the offensive team. Much like assault in UT 99.
1) you can edit it to fit your favourite level and such (code changing like you've said)
2) More static deathz (tilez again) I Love static deathz inside of a stage.
3) Moar game modes: I have made several writings about game modez:
Coalition: a group of 2 on 2 fortz or 3on 1 fort orthe oposite (sides can be taken defensive or offensive) the concept here is to capture the fort.
The only fort in 1 on 3, vise versa has more creation pointz and suppliez to make the oddz even.
2: CTF: Your cpaturing the enemy flag, bring it to your fort svorez can be set. Like unreal, when you fall into a pit or space/ ground the flag is restored to it's fort proper messages will apear (player's team/player has the enemy flag,/ .... Take your flag back!)
Lastly: I hope for a better multyplayer as well as the ability to chat and talk during the game.
