This level is based on the fact that each time a spotlight catches a grunt, it stops for 15 seconds, leaving the passage unguarded.

I had no idea that was possible...

So, has anybody tried the level yet? I'm interested in any kind of feedback. Personally, I think I should have better planned the placement of the blue switch and the related elements. Right now, the pink shield grunt is a bit far from the blue switch, which means that people who play in 640x480 can miss the fact that he drowns if it's pressed too early.

I gave it a shot, managed to complete it, but missed various coinz and the secretz. Mostly due to really bad optimization though. It's definitely an interesting idea, and it was easily predictable to know what each switch did. I did initially end up killing the pink shield via off-screen drowning during my first attempt..but I noticed this rather quickly and reloaded. I don't think it's much of an issue though, ideally, this is more of a paper planning type of level, otherwise you can only sub-optimally stumble through it. The timingz for getting the coinz in the SP blockz as bombz passed by felt too tight for me. Aside that, I ended up ignoring trying to get the pink shield of the RHS because I felt I did too poorly in order of eventz, might try it again later though if I have time. Neat level overall!

You mean you tried to collect all coins at once when the bomber runs through the switchez? Well, I never thought about this, because the intended solution is to get to them one by one, without using the bomber. I guess I should have thought about that too. But RHS is necessary to reach the silver switch inside RPs, wasn't that making the whole process a bit too problematic? Thank you very much.

Ugh, I find it hard to concentrate with all of these distracting Spotlightz around...

Personally I wasn't bothered by it, but it occurred to me that it can be an annoyance to some; personally, however, I was wondering if it isn't going to cause seizures, eye tiredness and stuff like that.
Hardly avoidable with such concept though.

Ugh, I find it hard to concentrate with all of these distracting Spotlightz around... For some reason, the SpotLightz were not a problem at all, for me. An older CL (I cannot remember the name of it) gave my COMPUTER fitz, with dozenz of SpotLightz (or UFOz, I forget which) in a very confined area. These are spread apart by five Tilez (originally in synchronization!) so didn't affect play. I just wish I could play in 1028X768 screen resolution again, instead of the more limiting 800X600 ... fewer thingz would be "off the screen", such as the enemy Shield Grunt being as far away as it is from the Blue Hold Switch controlling bridgez.

But RHS is necessary to reach the silver switch inside RPs, wasn't that making the whole process a bit too problematic? I missed a 'f' in "off" I was able to get the shield onto the RHS..but getting him off looked like it would take at least 2 gruntz to distract the spotlightz..now I wonder if there'z actually 3-4 spotlightz there..making that idea impossible even. As I said though, bad planning on my part. I guess I went for it mainly because I thought that using the bomb run would be the more conservative method. But it does seem like ignoring the RHS so you can reach the SS more easily is required for the PERFECT though.

There are four SpotLightz around the Red Hold Switch, so it is impossible for the solver to place one of his Gruntz there. The problem I had initially was activating the RHS too soon. Most of the problemz solverz will have is in doing thingz in the wrong order. (I have dozenz of recollectionz of my own failurez in that manner!)

I have studied the map and need a nudge in the right direction to start. I feel that first tool to get is boxing glove but for that YTS has to be pressed and in turn GTS has to be pressed to grant access. is this the right strategy to start with?

I have studied the map and need a nudge in the right direction to start. I feel that first tool to get is boxing glove but for that YTS has to be pressed and in turn GTS has to be pressed to grant access. is this the right strategy to start with? Since there was only one Grunt to start with, the Magic Wand was first ... to create some teammatez who were free to move. The next thing to do is get the Scroll ... it will come in handy. Yes, the Boxing Glovez are the next tool to get and use ... but don't over-use them! Just get one enemy Grunt started in the correct direction, and plan to come back and 'encourage' him further into standing where you need him. Then have another Grunt pick up the Gauntletz and start breaking thingz. The Orange Pyramidz all over the map are your goal ... lower them to allow access to thingz you need, or placez to leave a Grunt standing. That meanz you have to discover which Orange Up/Down Switch to step on next. When you run out of Gruntz free to move, use the Magic Wand again. Frequently, one Grunt has something to do, while another Grunt has to operate a Switch, to allow the first to do his job. You say you looked over the map, so you know there are some CheckPoint Switchez around. Make sure you keep the Gruntz possessing those toolz healthy! One very tricky part of this puzzle is when a Grunt is able to pick up the sign. He needz to 'convince' as many enemy Gruntz as possible to join the team before he utterz "Hale-Bopp, here I come!". That is somewhat difficult, so be sure you have a fresh SAVE before you have a Grunt pick it up. P.S. Ask Zu real nice, and he may make the walk-through available to you.

For Zu: I think you have made a gret\at level and I request you to make a walkthrough for it so others may enjoy playing it. (Was that nice enough )

You can find the walkthrough here... although I would encourage you to try to figure out the solution on your own, of course.

This level causing the game run at low FPS.Maybe only mine. The Spotlights are high cycle users, and with many of them within the display area, Gruntz will definitely slow down. The same would be true for UFOs, possibly even Thunderclouds, if packed into a small display space. I believe the major contributing factor is the movement around the map, in addition to the rotation of the object 'in place' ... compute intensive process.
