any plans for battles online support ? I haven't had much time to look into this whole thing, but online Battlez would be amazing. That'd add a huge amount of replay value to the game, and the fact they never worked was probably the main reason there was never that much interest in Gruntz around the world.

Cooperative support along with battles support would be great! I think I'd need to have more hands on deck for this to be possible, so get learning Java!
GooRoo I'm confused by your problems with Toy Land 4. The image of the map (http://gooroosgruntz.info/hintz/Custom/Guigui/ToyLand4/ToyLand4.jpg) seems to be much greater than 32 by 32, so no wonder the editor is getting confused here! I suspect that the encoding of the dimensions in this wwd file are somehow different from others... I'll take a look in the morning

If size is the problem, a 32x24 map such as MiniGolf could work (though it's very dense and therefore has many objectz), or something even smaller such as Gamer's island map (forgot its name)

As I said, I think it's a problem with where the dimensions of the map are being stored in some cases, not that the fact that it is large is an issue!

DizGruntled Alpha 2.5.1pointcliki.com/gruntz/ - LIKE THE PAGE WITH FACEBOOK! Hello there, I've released Alpha 2.5.1 now with fixes to level loading (ToyLand4 now works as should all other levels) and ROLLING BALLS! (though they don't quite squash Gruntz yet =D) I'd realllllyy appreciate it if as many of you could try it out as possible as I haven't had much feedback or criticism yet at all, and given I've put months into it and all the hype there's been on the forums here it would be terrible if noone actually played it! Obviously there's still a lot of work to do, but perhaps you can motivate me to continue working on the project

The link " latest release" is broken, but the DizGruntled editor link worked just fine. I will unZIP it within the hour, and do some more evaluationz. I understand that it is not complete, but will make note of whatever I find not working, in case there is something that you do NOT know is not correctly implemented. I have not actually tried to play DizGruntled yet ... not sure if I have even been successful at downloading and installing the executable. Of course, if " latest release" is what I need for the executable, I am rather out of luck.

Haha I've fixed the latest release link, but no worries the other link you used was the correct one.
It's more a question of general feedback - how you find the tools that do work, whether there are any other things that might be interesting to implement etc. And obviously if it randomly crashes out! I'd rather people tell me things I know don't work and perhaps find something I've missed.

Hello all... I'd like to announce the upcoming release of Dizgruntled... Alpha 2.6This version promises to be the most complete version of Dizgruntled ever released; see some of the features below... I've been putting a lot of work into Dizgruntled over the last couple days - we now have all the switches / triggers working fine, apart from checkpoint switches because I can't for the life of me find the tool/toy icons for them - does anyone know where these are in the REZ? Zu's Virtual Reality set is fully integrated Rolling balls are fully functional and squash Gruntz, along with all the other wonderful ways that Gruntz can die... Megaphones work, and we'll see the introduction of part of the original Gruntz HUD Forts are now included, so you can actually make playable levels! Help books / signs are implemented I'm currently implementing some of the basic tools such as shovelz, gauntletz and gravity bootz I also plan to have the simple AI players done by the release. Also planned are improving the download mechanism and implementing an update mechanism and also adding a "share your level online" feature. Screenshots to follow...

You may capture the imagez using these linkz: The documentz will give you the linkz to the individual imagez, to save you from having to click on imagez and do "Save as.." for each one ... just provide the URL for one, and modify it for the next one you want .... may be faster ... maybe not.

Has "The Giant Rock" been broken already? I thought that happened long after the Beach Ball was picked up.

Not much activity on these forums sadly...
Just to give you an update on Dizgruntled,
I've now got all the major logics implemented, just teleporters and things like sound logics left to do
Grunts can now use Gauntletz, Shovelz and Goober Straws to perform their special functions, and the other tools will likely follow with speed once I've implemented fighting, which is the next step.
Stay tuned!

I am eagerly awaiting the finished result! Any idea when can we expect more or less finished version for us to test?

Haha sadly work is slightly too unpredictable to know when exactly it'll be done - I'm in my final year at uni now! I've set up a new site pointcliki.com to showcase my work, where I've been blogging about Dizgruntled, and it will hopefully go onto my games portal - pointcliki.com/app - in the next month or so - that will be 2.6! But at the rate it's going at I might skip 2.6 altogether and plow straight onto 3...
