The provider of my public e-mail address seemz to have a problem that preventz me from accessing ANY e-mail messagez ... inbox, sent, spam, trash, etc. I foolishly left several set-up messagez there, with passwordz and proofz of purchase, etc. ... that I cannot retrieve. My problem: how to contact all of the people I really want to continue to correspond with, since I do not have any SAVEd messagez containing their e-mail addresses. It took me about 15 minutez just to track down how to change my contact e-mail address with one correspondent ... poor web site design ... about five screenz to go through to reach a dialog box for e-mail address. And I have only used that one e-mail account for most of my contactz, so do not have anything I can cut and paste into a message using my working e-mail account. My wife has been egging me to drop that account because of all my complaintz about their 'improvementz' ... that weren't. I should have listened to her. Until now, my complaintz have just been about the clumsy way they did thingz after changez ... but at least I could somehow work around the system to get thingz done. Now, all I get is a blank screen no matter which of the three access methodz (that worked in the past) available. Any suggestions?

Well, it appears that the hacker who has been spoofing my e-mail address has succeeded. Apparently someone at MLB.com acted upon a SPAMming complaint without checking, and deleted everything, and has denied me access. I am sure that they will say they are sorry, but it is impossible to do a selective restore of my e-mail folders ... and the SPAMmer can continue spoofing it without any action being taken against the REAL perpetrator. Eventually MLB.com will realize that they (and I) "have been had". Hopefully, the result will be that someone will make a real effort to identify the SOB and take proper legal action ... probably not effective enough to cause contrition ... just a "slap on the wrist". Effective action (to me) is confiscation of all the electronic hardware in the family, banning for twenty years of ever owning equipment capable of accessing the Internet, and at least six months in jail. Instead, the SOB will never be apprehended, or even if so, will be told "naughty, naughty ... go and sin no more". It would never be instituted, but my REAL punishment would be loss of a digit (preferably a thumb) for the first offense; two digits for a second, and all but two of the remaining digits for a third.
