It has come to my attention some time ago that there is a certain problem with the game when it comes to new people playing it: if someone wants to play the game for the multiplayer, but doesn't know all the gameplay mechanics, tools and so on, then he has to first make his way through all of the Standard Levels in order to learn everything. Therefore, I felt that it would be a good idea to make a level that crams everything there is to know about Gruntz into a single place, allowing players to get accustomed with the game in roughly 40 minutes. Shortly saying, want to play multiplayer with someone who never played Gruntz before, and need to quickly get them up to speed on how the game works? Have them play through this level and they should be good to go.

Hmm.Level has 30 Tools,6 Toys and 7 Powerups.And Level Completion is 30 - 40 minutes and Solving is 40 - 60 minutes.
True, this level seems to be easy.

Good call
I assume you're including the help boxez as well, although if I recall correctly not all itemz in the game have one for them... but they're still good for this kind of thing

Yes, I'm definitely including the help boxes. It was a bit troublesome at times making sure that the level's design matches what those books say (I had to skip the help book about bricklaying because of this), and disappointingly, static hazards, coins and WARP letters aren't mentioned in any help boxes... but these are the only two exceptions, really. The biggest problem was the enemy team limit... this level hits the maximum of 45 enemy gruntz, and only careful evaluation of what I need and what I don't let me fit exactly into this limit.

Good luck to you! This is something that I started to do in the first year I had the Gruntz game ... but never finished. Of course, I was also still employed (under a six month contract) at the time, in the parent company's anticipation of problems with the Y2K date in my company's software. There were no problems with our programs, but the parent company's programs turned out to be unaware that the day after February 28, 2000 was February 29 ... not March 1! So I dropped the Gruntz project in favor of fixing the parent company's leap year problem.

Interesting! I wonder, do you still have the unfinished level lying around somewhere? It might be an interesting piece of history. BTW, I sent you this one via e-mail about 5 days ago... did you receive it?

The biggest problem was the enemy team limit... this level hits the maximum of 45 enemy gruntz, and only careful evaluation of what I need and what I don't let me fit exactly into this limit. Try to make some intersectionz, so the solver'll need to give a toy to a Grunt, and then get past this place again, so he'll be forced to find the next toy. So, you'll save your enemiez' limit a little bit.

^ I already solved this problem... though it did require some thought. EDIT: Until GooRoo has the time to give this level a look, I will use a temporary DropBox download link, so that others can download it.

I just completed this in a little over 43 minutes (reading every note ... sometimes twice!) to a "PERFECT!" score. But it was possible to complete it without picking up one pair of Gauntletz near where the Rolling Ballz Magic Wand was found, since my Grunt already had Gauntletz. There are also a few places where the solution can be sped up (even though reading every note) due to alternate solutions that an experienced Gruntzer could use ... but then, this is meant to be a tutorial! I have created a folder on my hard drive for it, and will upload everything I have to the web host after completing my Forum scan (lots of new posts!). After the upload (if I have time before leaving for my wife's doctor's appointment) I will return here and replace the announcement link(s) with Forum links.

Must've been pretty hard to make all of this stuff fit in one place...
