This map was doable all along... The main problem likely was that nobody was dedicated enough to finish it. It might be discouraging at first because this level is not linear - you are thrown into a collection of areas that can be done in different order and you have no idea what to do to make progress... (the Warpstone is in the bottom-right corner, surrounded by Red Pyramidz and multiple Sword Gruntz) However as you keep playing, all pieces of the puzzle slowly join together. You need to transfer 3 (technically even 4) Toolz between the sides of the map (using the Tool Thievez) and all of those are necessary for completion. Toyz on the other hand are optional, they make some parts easier but I managed to beat the level without using them. The puzzle areas are not extraordinarily difficult in themselves, however each is different and based on an original idea where you especially need to think, often out-of-the-box, so I rate this map very positively. Giving Switch Out a "Hard" difficulty seems fair enough. Together with BattlezM we made some changes to what is currently on the forum, mostly to the Blue Gauntletz Gruntz area, to prevent wrong solutions (like sending your own Gruntz to control the switches, it had to be made clear that you must use the enemies for that). So I send all the files required to finally release this map: files.fm/u/rqphpxww (please use the download button to get full-sized images)

I have captured all three files, SAVEd the JPGs into hintz/Custom/BattlezM/Switchout adding a '2' to each file. If my LightScribe drive does not arrive today, I will be able to view (maybe even try!) the changes. If the drive arrivess, I have seven discs to label for my brother-in-law's presents ... no time for Gruntz then.

Having the new map named as SwitchOut2.jpg leads to the old one being displayed in the indices.

I am having no luck at all in returning from giving the Rock to the Tool Thief at the west end of the southern griddle. The Bare-handed Grunt is sent right to the other griddle ... every time! So I am unable to swap the Gauntletz, the Shovel and the Rockz.
Give me a BROAD hint, please.

The first issue is that you don't have to bring the Rockz to the left side of the map at all. All enemies there can be disposed of by other means. The place you are talking about is for the Shovel Grunt, as you don't need to leave two of them on the right side for anything. You can fill one hole in the area to make it a bit easier to return after giving one Shovel away.
There is also no need to transfer the Gauntletz to the right side, as they are already present - behind a long line of spikes. Gravity Bootz are what you need, and those are awarded for completing a puzzle on the left side.

I understand this is a non-liear puzzle but I am having immense problems at the start. I start with the left side and have option to go down and get rubber ducky through timebomb or go further left and try to get Bootz.
The puzzle to get the bootz is perplexing. I use Brick layer to trap the enemy gruntz when he walks through blue wormhole and lay a black brick to blow him up along with the gauntletz. I also lay bricks along the path of freed up gauntletz so he can press the right switches for the RB; however the timing is not perfect and I do not know if this is the right way to solve this.

It's the intended solution. Remember that the outcome also depends on the initial position of the Rolling Ball when the enemy steps off the Yellow Switch, so you might need to retry a couple of times even with the same brick placements before you complete the puzzle.

Ok, so I got the Bootz. Should I go for the rubber ducky through Timebomb? Sequence of getting tools is quite unclear.
And where to go on the right side with Shovelz and 2 gruntz?
A general walkthrough without puzzle solutions would be helpful as I want to play the level.

In the North there is an Olive which has to go over BPS, GP and Grey timed pyramid. The switches to control these pyramids are protected by a Green Sword gruntz. How to kill him and the Olive moving?

On the right side, you can freely collect a second shovel and then use them to get the rockz for the third Grunt. With this equipment you'll be able to kill the enemy Grunt easily.
Later you transfer one of these shovels to the left side and receive bootz transferred to the right side.

So I used 2 shovelz to get Rockz. Then transferred bootz to the right through enemy grunt near spikes in the north. I used the enemy gruntz near Yellow arrows and switches to transfer Spadez from right to left. I now have got Springs and Rocks on the right. DO I transfer rocks or springs to the left? I do not see any use of springs on the left.
On left the barehanded gruntz got Rubber ducky. How does it get to the north west part of the map? It is blocked by GP and an enemy rocks is standing on the GPS.
Is there a SS/RW under the girdle in the south? There is a Yellow arrow pointing to some tile but no obvious way to get there.

You have to transfer your springz to the left side of the map, as it will be needed in the northwestern corner.
To eliminate the rockz, walk in range of the boomerang behind him. He will throw his projectile and damage your enemy.
About the southern griddle, yes, there is a Secret in that area. Keep searching!

Finished the game with a perfect. The sequence of getting tools and exchanging them was a bit confusing at first but a thoroughly enjoyable level to play.
