December 3, 2015 will mark this Forum's 12th anniversary of its existence!
That longevity could not have happened without you, the Gruntz Fanz, and the onez who have taken part in the designing of close to 550 Custom Level Questz, and close to four dozen Custom Battlez.
Since there is not much chance of Gruntz 2 coming into existence, one has to wonder just how long this fine puzzle game can last, continuing to draw interest. Which leadz me to the reason for this post.
The original game, as distributed by "Monolith Productions, Inc." came with 4 'Training Levelz' and 4 Questz each for 8 graphics areas. The 32 'real' puzzles have names (and themes), with each successive 'Stage' being (usually) a little more difficult than its predecessor, and frequently a little bit larger in map size. With the expertise our Designerz have shown already, I believe we could improve upon the 'Standard' Versions! I propose a "sign-up sheet" for creating 32 V2 (Version 2) Questz using the same theme, but different (and probably more challenging) mapz, as "V2 The Giant Rock" (or should that be "The Giant Rock V2"?). The V2 puzzlez must be in the same graphicz area, with similar map size, and have exactly one Question Mark Switch and one Red Warp . Further, the Red Warp must lead to only the Warp Letter , so the puzzle may be playable in 'Easy' mode, still to a "PERFECT!" result. The Question Mark Switch may lead to Coinz and/or Toolz and/or Toyz and/or Powerupz .
Dead-line for submission: November 30, 2015.
Post in this thread identifying the Version 2 puzzle you plan to design ... first come, first served. To save (my) maintenance time, the 'Assignments' are now in the on-line table.
In my browser,at least, the unassigned puzzles have a grey background, and the transparent box where a map would be will show the 'standard' size for that map when your mouse passes over it. Everything except the Designer's 'handle' is plugged into the table, so I may quickly update the assignments ... in one place.

My idea about a new Gruntz game is an HD remake of old game.Like, game can be 3D with the topdown view. That make the game much better.
Also,a combination of all gruntz fanz levels are good idea.

Marvelous idea, I've always thought about how remaking standard levelz would go.
One question, however: why does the Red Warp have to lead to the Warp letter? I can quickly remember standard levelz that don't follow this rule, such as Gruntz in Space level 2, High Rollerz level 1 and Honey, I Shrunk the Gruntz level 4, all requiring the Secret Switch to access the Warp Letter. It is true that the majority of them follow that rule, though, and I suppose it's best to keep it as a baseline for all levelz.
Sign me up for Swordz Akimbo, High Rollerz stage 1.
I'm looking forward for this!

My reasoning is to make it possible to achieve a "PERFECT!" score in 'Easy' mode ... something that is not possible in the exceptionz you cited.
I will update the table, granting you the rightz to "Swordz Akimbo" (I have selected "Brick Layerz Have All The Fun" for myself ... with only one solver's Grunt for the entire puzzle ... with lotz of 'Home Improvement' work. (But not by CHEATing.)

I would like to say, I am already doing the 32 levelz like the original quest mode. But they are a micro mapz (32x24) with no secretz and the difficulty is random, some levelz are hard, some easy... But I have completed only 6 levelz and 15 are not suitable yet (they are 20x20). So I will continue on my "quest mode" and left this in your handz, Gruntzerz! And I will use this anniversary/final date as my final date, too but I hope I'll finish it sooner.

I like the sound of this, and it gives me some more cohesive ideas to work around. I had the thought of doing "V2.0" on older CLs that were released, but redesigning the standard levels is just as good.
I'll probably start with "Come Back With a Friend" and "You Should Never Play Near Electrical Outletz"

I'm not working on the project written in the topic but on my own project. You can create whatever you want.

This would be a really good idea if we had 20 or so people who regularly make Gruntz levels and are very skilled at it... but alas, Gruntz levels don't come very often these days, and there's only a handful of people who make any levels at all... and some of those people, well, can't really make standard level quality levels, I'm sad to say. Things like too much empty space, putting things at the very corners of the map, mismatching tiles - these are the primary mistakes such people do, and which just wouldn't fit in a standard level.
Considering all this, I think a more realistic project would be to make 8 levels, one per each world, with gradually increasing difficulty. That at least would have some chance of reaching completion.

Eh I'm up for taking multiple levelz on, I need to get going with my current projectz before I start on this but I'm still fairly confident we can finish the entire set with good quality.

But I look forward to what the level in celebration is gonna be. I should play it, it has been too long since I tried any new levels. I have so much free time on my hand, so there is no excuse. I should return to this community as a whole very soon.

This is a really great idea. Sadly, I have to privilege my Master's Thesis, so I cannot take part at this.

Taking a break from some unsuccessful BETA testing, I worked a bit more on the replacement for Gruntziclez, Stage 2.
