The reason I wanna do that is so I can watch some YouTube videos while playing the game, which I obviously can't do if it's in full screen.
I could if I had a labtop or a second screen but I don't. My computer doesn't even have a port for a second screen.

Yeah, I remember a program was needed in order to fix the 'lag' effect Gruntz had when played on Windows 8, which made you run Gruntz in a window - I'm pretty sure you can modify the window size of it as you wish. I think it was called D3DWindower? Just check that thread about 64-bit operating systems and it should be mentioned there.

My computer doesn't even have a port for a second screen. Today I was able to play Gruntz (but not successfully) in a window on my new(er) Windows 10 laptop. I just have to experiment with the tools a bit ... I could not access the gadgets in order to make the window full size, and in the default window size I could not scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen. That was a fatal error in the puzzle I was using to test with, as the necessary switch was at the very bottom. The good thing about it was that Gruntz played at what seemed to be the 'normal' speed, and the mouse pointer (except as noted above) behaved ... didn't jump around haphazardly.
There is hope!!!

Thanks for the help guys, but sadly I haven't found a way to make it work. Ah well.
I can deal with that.

Just for the completeness of the thread: recently it's been extremely important for me to be able to run the game in a windowed mode. And so, after trying a dozen of programs I've found dgVoodoo2 to work really well for me, with no problems whatsoever. I've noticed this application is mentioned in the thread regarding Windows 10. I'm working on Windows 7, so I don't have any problems running the game. However the application proved to be really handy nonetheless
