EDIT: Disregard the title, my reason for leaving the community was stupid anyways as I didn't even give these levels a chance before judging them.
The reason I'm leaving is because I'm really getting tired of these "remakes" of levels, especially the standard ones. I still stand by that it's pointless and unnecessary.
I might return one day, but I don't like to download a level that's just a different version of a level I already downloaded.
It seems that nobody wants to make anything original anymore, look, I'm not telling any of you to stop remaking these levels, if you like doing that, go for it.
But when a new level is released I like to download something that's different from the levels I already have, not a remade version of it.

Bye.
And I guarantee you we'd have at most 3 or 4 new levels released during the timeframe that these 32 remakes were designed, many of them being almost entirely new levels on their own right.

But when a new level is released I like to download something that's different from the levels I already have, not a remade version of it. There are several of the 32 'Standard' Level puzzlez that are remakes in name only. Even the ones that I have done "ala MPI" have additional levels of difficulty, and (usually) much better graphics. And those are only "ala MPI" because of my personal time schedule, and the fact that my original idea of using ONLY the tool in the name of the puzzle simply was not possible using the original map as a basis. And my replays of the original puzzlez resulted in me finding flaws in some of them, allowing much easier solutions than what you may find in the walk-throughs available on Paul's Gruntz Page, and "The Journey Home". Those flaws are fixed in the "ala MPI" versions. Take a look at some of the "View the map!" images, and you may see something new!

I decided to come back, the reason for leaving the community was beyond stupid as I haven't even tried most of the remade levels. So I judged them based on nothing.
I'm sorry if the original post is far too negative, I'm sticking around this place since I love Gruntz.

If I can suggest something: it's best to avoid making threads like this altogether, for a number of reasons:
- It's pointless. If you have any friends on the forum, then you will likely have a better, faster way of telling them that, like Skype or something. And everyone else? They will most likely be indifferent to your choice, unless they absolutely adored your levels or something.
- If this community was any bigger and less understanding, then you would likely amass a series of sarcastic responses like "don't let the door hit you on your way out". And for what gain? None at all.
- As you've probably noticed, it's very easy to change your mind about something, in which case having an outdated thread like this lying around ends up being very, very awkward for both you and everyone else.
So like I said, it's best to avoid making threads where you announce that you leave. If you have a problem with something happening on the forum, then make a thread specifically about that, rather than about you leaving. That will at least serve a purpose and bring attention to what you consider a problem.
