This is another level that I'd want to release before the end of this year. I found the layout of it on my old PC accidentally, I think it was one of my last projects before I abandoned Gruntz a few years ago. However, most of its logics were missing, and the level had to be changed a lot to be more fair, playable, and to look a bit better. So when The Four Sword Gruntz was being tested, I revived this idea and now it is ready for the public.
I'm looking for someone to test it, this one is easier and smaller than my previous level. Maybe one of the members who check this forum quite often but don't write anything will get involved?

There were no replies in this topic before, so no message is missing.

I can't finish this level. I'm stuck at after-orange switch part, before check-point switch containing "club+brickz+gauntletz"... The problem is with rolling rockz because gauntletz grunt needs to destroy brick to allow bricks+club gruntz to pass it and then he can't go back to his switch... I managed to go further with different approach: I didn't trigger "brickz+bare hand" check-point switch at all which allowed me to pass 3 gruntz to "club+brickz+gauntletz" switch but then I can't trigger arrow switch to take warpstone because bare-hand grunt is stuck after returning from secret teleporter. Maybe I'm missing something obvious but I can't really see it

Can you give us a screenshot of what it looks like on your end? That would help us in accurately gauging what the problem is.

What is blocking the gauntletz from returning to his switch? Orange pyramidz?
We need some more precise information.

So the situation is: - Bricklayerz and club gruntz need to go past rolling rockz (blue arrow), gauntletz grunt needs to go top (green arrow) - In order to pass rolling rockz we need to destroy them (at least second one, cause it's insanely fast), so we have to lay some brickz - Brick laid on tile marked with yellow rectangle needs to be destroyed by gauntletz cause otherwise it's blocking the passage - There are 2 orange switches and in order to "open" vertical orange pyramids (red rectangle) 1 grunt needs to be "trapped" (like bricklayerz on the screen), so all 3 gruntz won't be able to go to blue arrow area - Now, to "release" bricklayerz grunt we have to go to secret teleporter (green arrow direction). Either club or gauntletz grunt can go to that teleporter but after returning he won't be able to pass orange pyramids again (red rectangle), because obviously it would require to trap 1 grunt on orange switch again... Hope I explained it pretty decently. Cheers!

Your problem is that you used a grunt to step on that switch. What you're supposed to do is redirect the rolling ball to roll over it.

Going back through old posts that I either missed when kept busy by other things, or was simply too rushed to respond (and then forgot about it senior moments), I came across this one. Much too late to help the original poster, it may save someone else some frustration to read this reply.
Orange Switchez are paired: and and when a raised one is stepped on, associated Orange Pyramidz reverse state
It is NOT necessary for a Grunt to remain standing on these switchez!. Because when a raised one is stepped on, the lowered switch raises! So a Grunt stepping on the (other) raised Switch will free the 'trapped' Grunt. So the Grunt at the 'naked' switch just steps on and off repeatedly to allow his buddies to follow that Bricklayer, one at a time.
The real problem with this, is that the switch near the Warp Letter requires the SecretTeleporterTrigger ... which is not available to a solver playing in 'Easy' mode. A fatal flaw.

That's not how I meant to complete the level. Zu explained that you need to redirect the Rolling Ball over the OUDS and you will not need the Secret Teleporter for anything.

Some exciting ideas in this one. There are numerous paths that individual Gruntz take and the challenge lies in figuring out the order of actions you take, which is a level design concept I greatly enjoy. The puzzles themselves are nicely interconnected, with each one seamlessly leading into the next. In addition, many switches in one area raise or lower pyramids in the next, which means foresight is of the essence. The only timing-related difficulty section is obtaining the coin in the tar. It turns out there is more than one way of solving some of the puzzles, which I think is a strength even if it was not intended since it doesn't necessarily make the level easier. Perhaps some may take issue with the fact that there's no way of knowing which combination of pressure plates triggers the numerous checkpoints in this level (since they are usually far apart and not immediately obvious), but I think it works in this case.

Added a video walkthrough of this level to the first post (and here). This is a map that can be completed in several ways, so be sure to check it out if you are curious what the originally intended solution was. The Rolling Ballz section at the beginning can also be solved more carefully, it was just me being a bit impatient.

As far as my investigations have gone, it appears that this is the last YouTube video walkthrough still available (that has not been deleted, resulting in broken links) that I am able to capture and store with the Forum's web host. If anyone previously captured any YouTube walkthroughs that have since been deleted,I would appreciate a link where I could download it, and store on our (paid) web hosting site. Then the temporary off-line file could be deleted (to save space/money/whatever).
