I now have Windows 10 and the game is so slow that it's unplayable. I tried changing the compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service 2) and that didn't work. Can someone help me out?
And for those of you wondering, yes I am returning to Gruntz, probably by March. I want to be able to play the game properly before I officially return to playing the game.

That's a known problem with Gruntz on Windows 10 and it requires a workaround. You might try setting your game up according to this tutorial and see if it works differently: link

There is also another problem, how can I play the game without torrenting it?
I mean I am against torrenting video games I really am. But the problem is my new computer does not have a CD drive, so I don't think I have a choice but to torrent it. Is there any other way?
The video game library on my Windows 10 computer doesn't have it for sale.

I didn't know anyone was making a computer nowadays that did not have a CD/DVD drive for installations, playing movies (on DVD) or music (on CD in either audio or MP3/4 format)! Your solution would be to purchase an external CD/DVD drive with USB 2 (or 3) connection ability. I have two external CD/DVD drives connected to my PC ... besides the internal one. One external is a 'plain Jane', the other is LightScribe enabled for creating my own labelled CDs and DVDs. The price of external drives (in the United States,at least) is very inexpensive ... $39.95 for a 'plain Jane' and $49.95 for a LightScribe (if you can find one!).

If you have another computer with a CD drive, you could copy game contents from the Gruntz CD on it and then transfer them using a pendrive.
