Hey to all Gruntzerz out there! I'm (as of June/July 2005) a 17-year old male living in Avon, NY (south of Rochester, NY). I am also an active member of my church, and like Gruntz a lot! Any members near Avon, NY (or in the Rochester, NY area)...? Well, anyway, I joined mostly to let the Gruntz community know I am trying an ambitious goal: a walkthrough (to post on GameFAQ's, for example) for the Gruntz standard levels (at the very least). I mean, I don't want to put Paul out of business or anything, but I would like to see a unified walkthrough posted on GameFAQ's for others to use (since there is no such document present as far as I know). What do you guys think?

I will have to do a search on GameFAQs to see what it has to offer. Personally, I think a link to Paul's walkthroughz would be better than creating something new, but that's just my own opinion. Welcome to the Gruntz Forum!

Thank you very much, GooRoo! :-) Like I said, I don't want to put Paul out of business, but GameFAQ's is a popular site. Potential fans of Gruntz MIGHT go there if they don't know where else to go....
Frankly, I think there is a vacuum at GameFAQ's Gruntz section. I only found an (all but) dead forum and a cheat codes listing there. Now, I don't know what you will find there, but I think my case is strong simply because of GameFAQ's popularity. But since you're in charge here, I will bow to your judgement....
BTW, are there any forum members (known to be) in upstate NY?

What I found at GameFAQs were six or seven screenshots that I do not recall seeing before. I thought that they were links to download Custom Levelz that I do not have, but that was not the case ... just screenshots similar to the ones available from the Monolith Productions, Inc. Gruntz Forum. (Darn! It would have been nice to have found a different source for a few CLz. ) If you know how to make an HTML link to the walkthroughs on Paul's Gruntz Page, I would post one (or more, if you feel 'lucky') and see what kind of response that generates. Also, you might post a link to "GooRoo's Gruntz Forum" to point potential Gruntzerz this way.

I'll see what I can do. I don't have an account at GameFAQ's at the present time (and I probably will not create one if you do not want me to post my project...), but I have had a smattering of HTML and could probably make the weblinks you want. I just need to figure out where and how to put them on the site. Do you know anyone that has a registered account at GameFAQ's that could act as a middleman for me?

I'll see what I can do. I don't have an account at GameFAQ's at the present time (and I probably will not create one if you do not want me to post my project...) It is not a matter of not wanting anyone to post their own walkthroughs elsewhere (as at GameFAQs), but that Paul has already done the work, and it would be easier to just link to completed works, rather than repeat the effort.I am not aware of anyone with a GameFAQs account ... I thought you had one, as a matter of fact. I did not create an account for myself, as I am not doing justice to more than half of the accounts I have already set up elsewhere. (I frequently wonder how I ever got anything done when I was working 40+ hours a week for a living. )

Hahaha! "Very busy in Washington" would describe you very well...Seriously! In any case, I thought of this project as more of a "compilation", a one-stop shop for the walkthroughs. I realize that Paul already has something a lot like that, but he doesn't have a walkthrough for every standard and custom level (not that I'm expecting him too... ), but some of the walkthroughs aren't even on his site. If you could persuade Paul to let me be an assistant, I would be more than willing to drop my project and transfer my time and energy to helping him. What do you think?

For every walkthrough (Standard, and some Custom Levelz) that are stored on Paul's Gruntz Page, I have links to those items. There are still several Custom Levelz that do not have walkthroughs for them, but for those that do, I have links. So between Paul's web site and this one, the vast majority of walkthroughs are already available. As far as Paul's web site is concerned, anyone would have to talk to Paul directly about 'helping out'. Since he is now part of the working world, it is just that there are now several other things higher up in his personal priority queue than Gruntz. Thankfully, he has not abandoned his web site (taken it down), but he no longer is spending the many hours it takes to keep everything up-to-date.

That is a shame, because the site is so good. I'll have to contact him personally and ask him if I could help somehow. I'm certainly not ready or prepared to take over his site, but if he could give me some "assignments" (ie., "Write up a page for this walkthrough for me." or "Convert this page to a certain format for me.") I would be willing to help him keep the site alive... for all of us In fact, I might start a "keep Paul's Page afloat!" forum if others would be interested in joining me. ... BTW, I'm still waiting to know whether there are other Gruntz fans in the Rochester, NY area. "Uhh, a little help here?"

In case you're wondering GooRoo, I'm going to send the email SOON. I hadn't been able to get to a computer easily over the previous week (I was visiting relatives I never even knew I had, and then I spent the previous weekend attending a wedding for a cousin of mine.) So, um, in short, that mail will be going out soon. :-)
