What STUPID son-of-a-bitch designed a verification system that was full screen with no recourse to another window?!? Extremely poor design, which I have come to expect from Microsoft. Supposed to make start-up simpler, but makes setting up the new system almost impossible! Password failure (because the system does not allow access to the removable password file!) leads one into a series of more and more obfuscated screens. Fortunately, turning the computer off and waiting a few minutes kicks the stupid (did I mention STUPID) screen hog out, and I once again had access to my computer.
Edit: and by the way, once I managed to regain access to the computer and attempted to respond to the "password reset" email, my reply came back as unable to be addressed, citing several reasons why ... none of which had anything to do with the fact that Microsoft left no mechanism for a reply, but did not mention the fact that no reply was possible.
