Welcome! I hope you will enjoy both the game of Gruntz, and this Forum!!!
Just for our information, do you have the CD-ROM version (1.0), the patched CD-ROM version (1.01) or the RealArcade downloadable version (no movies) which is version 1.10 (I believe)?
What operating system (ie, Windowz XP, et cetera) and what screen resolution do you use?
For example, I have Windows XP, Home Edition, with a screen resolution of 1280X1024 and have the screen resolution patch that allowz me to play Gruntz (1.01) in 1024X768.

I have WinXP home edition SP2. I own the 1.0 CD rom with patch installed. And i play it at the resolution it installed with. If you have the ability to display more than 600X480 (and most people do) you may want to visit Paul's Gruntz Page (link at the top of this Forum) and download the screen resolution patch(es) available there. The patchez set up a 'registry' that allowz either 800X600 OR 1024X768 displays with Gruntz. That way you can see more 'real estate' of the Gruntz map, which often may make a difference in whether the solver can finish a sub-puzzle or not. I found the larger display priceless in Paul's "A World Of Sweetz" in getting through the first Silver Pyramidz puzzle. It greatly reduced the need to scroll the screen while maneuvering through the maze.
