It took from August 24 th, 2004 to today (October 25 th, 2004) to get everything straightened out ... thanks to Lee at QWest tech support! You see, I never received the username and password for the DSL setup, or the MSN Premium service, and was stymied in doing the install. Mix-ups in the service change took my wife's DSL connection off-line, so she was very unhappy! Today I managed to get the telephone service straightened out with one call, and then called tech support to try to get the DSL working. Lee held my hand and walked me through the process of installing the DSL system manually ... something that should have been done via the CD-ROM I received ... that didn't work without the username and password. Whew! Now all I have to do is get the wireless network set up so that my wife and I can share this DSL line. This by way of explaining why I may not be doing a lot of posting here for the next few days. (Now that I have DSL on my computer, my wife won't let me rest until it is also working on hers. )

I now have DSL working on my FAX line (which used to be the dedicated BBS line), so the next step is to put the second DSL modem onto my wife's computer. (That will make for a camper!)
