There seems to be an issue with Chrome refusing to download files from http:// links (even though the link leads to a secure website). If you're using Chrome, I recommend trying out a different browser, like Firefox. An alternative would be to copy the link and change the beginning of it to https://, but since the forum uses some kind of link redirection, it might not be possible.

It looks like the hosting server already allows HTTPS requests so it's all just a matter of fixing the download links which use HTTP protocol.
I've quickly whipped up a Proboards Plugin which finds all http : // gooroosgruntz.info/custom/<levelname>.wwd links and transforms them dynamically on document load into https : // gooroosgruntz.info/custom/<levelname>.wwd equivalents. The download links now seem to work and we don't have to meticulously go through hundreds of links.
Thanks for the report!

If I had known that the problem existed, I could have quickly corrected it.
Since the fix is specific to WWD files, I am sure there are MANY other links that would fail under Chrome. By simply using the word list, I will replace ALL references to HTTP:// (or HTTP:\\) to HTTPS:// (or HTTPS:\\) which should solve the problem for all browsers (which should all now recognize the 'Secure' version).

Erm... Is this thread a bit messed up now, probably to the changed wordlist? I am reading (Spelling alphabet to circumvent the word list) hotel tango tango papa sierra, a colon, then two slashes, and then another SIERRA, followed by yet another colon + two slashes.
Are we talking about a missing "s" at the end of the ht..., or is this double "://" a real thing?

You're right, with the " words" addition, the contents of our posts don't make any sense now. The issue was missing "s" at the end of all links on the forum.

I reverted this change in the admin panel because it actually broke all the images in forum threads that were working previously.

Thank you! I thought that was another "new thing in the internet" that I missed...
