Not some language into English, but to translate a number of .DOC walkthroughs into something I can read and/or manipulate.
(I have a 'thing' about Microsoft, and spend as little time and/or money on their products as I can possibly avoid. The 'thing'? Microsoft lured away the main group of programmers that supported the Amiga computer (which I loved!), the act that led to the demise of the computer.)
Anyway, I only have such Microsoft software as comes 'bundled' with my computer(s) ... WORD not being one of them.
Even changing the 'meat' of the file into plain text, readable/changeable in NotePad(++) would be a BIG help to me in some of my Forum maintenance projects.

I think you can use Google Docs as a good replacement to Microsoft Word, although it might be a little tedious to use: - upload a file into Google Drive, - open it with Google Docs, - select File > Download > any format you wish (PDF, HTML and Plain Text are some of the options). For this, you only need an internet browser and a Google account (I know that you own the latter). Sadly, I've never heard of any "all-at-once" converters I could recommend (and I'm afraid that's what you want to find and use).
