Welcome back, Custom Level designing! It's been a long time... This level is kind of a sequel to my first creation, but it's named "Buy a Better Goober Straw", because it's supposed to be better than the prequel - and by "better" I mean "less frustrating". It's smaller and less timing-demanding, which makes me really happy.

I just finished a non-Gruntz-related project, and am starting to try my (frequently (nowadays) inadequate) hand at solving this one.

We've tested this level with Tomalla and found that it has several different solutions, not mentioned in the walkthrough. However, none of them make the level significantly easier to complete or allow skipping any important sections, so we think it's fine. I like that this level is more thinking-oriented than average - there is only a fuzzy path to follow so you have to stop and think about the order of things to do so you can get closer to the end. If I were to suggest any improvements, I think these would be in regards to the high density of the level - having more space to walk around would be beneficial and also eliminate the need to put puzzle elements at the edges of the map. I added a second statz page image with my Beta-Testing result.

That Statz Page image is sufficient to distribute this puzzle. (I just re-inserted the Gruntz CD into my drive to play it myself, so am encouraged that someone other than the Designer has managed a "PERFECT!". I will prepare to distribute it and move it to where it belongs.)

Well, my problems with playing Gruntz on the Windoze 10 laptop continue. Gruntz locks up frequently, sometimes so thoroughly that not even Task Manager can take over to kick it out. And even at best, my screen reverts to 640X480 pixel display ... not just in Gruntz, but when Gruntz is not running the display is contracted. So my own play will have to wait until I can make space for the XP computer to be used again. I will now complete the move to Gruntz In Space and update the five indices and distribute i via email.

Sorry to hear it. I hope Gruntz will work on that other PC you have.
