This Custom Level was the prototype for all of the "The Rock #" puzzlez, so it does not have a Roman numeral suffix ... but it would be "The Rock I". The Roman numeral identifiez the graphicz set used ... Rocky Roadz being the first (I) Quest, Gruntziclez the second (II), etc.

Seems I'm the only one who has a problem with this one. I'm towards the end, in the home stretch so to speak. I have gauntletz, shovelz, and boxing glovez. I did the secret switch and now I have to get rid of four enemy swordz. But how?? Every time I try, I die. I can only afford to lose two of the three and I can't make it through.

I have gauntletz, straw and barehanded...2 of them are standing on the MPS and one is trying to controll the RR... I do not know how to controll the the RR through the 3 rd raw and at the 4 th raw I loose the RR... ... if I try to fight the swardz I get killed...

The trick with the RR'z Gaby, is to have one grunt (gauntletz) stand on the YHS, allowing the RR to go through the arrowz...send another grunt (strawz) across the PP's to wait by each YTS. As the RR comez down, watch to see how the other RR (between the two arrowz) goez. If it lookz like the RR that you are watching is going to cross the TWA, step on the YTS and make it roll back. Eventually, it will squash four of the swordz. Then, have gauntletz step off his switch, trapping the RR for now. Send your barehanded grunt (with the go-kart) into the area, give the go-kart to the last swordz. When he goes into a hole, send your gauntletz to break all of the rockz, getting the coinz. Give the zap cola to anyone who needz it. Send the gauntletz down to the bottom row and when the arrowz let you, have him go through them and then walk up to that one lonely rock at the top of the area. Get the "W" and then walk down the stairz at the bottom and stand on the YHS there. Meanwhile, the barehanded goez and standz on the YHS at the top again, letting the RR go down again....the strawz controlz the switchez on the side, until the RR goez through to the bottom...and across the last TWA at the bottom (move your gauntletz so he doesn't get squished and have him stand on the GHS to allow the strawz to come down and enter the next area). The barehanded grunt can walk down through the rowz and out the bottom to join the other two. Now, IdleAl, this is where I am stuck..... I gave the springz to the barehanded grunt and he has gone through the RP'z to the bottom, stepping on the BOTS to allow gauntletz to enter and break the rockz. Springz jumped across the crumble bridge to get the shovel in the megaphone. He has filled in all the holez. So I have a strawz trapped on the GHS at the top, a shovel and the gauntletz at the bottom. IF I send shovelz across the right facing arrow, to stand on the GHS, who goez to get the toobz? Gauntletz and shovelz together cannot dig/break rockz fast enough to allow the RR to pass without breaking, or, am I doing something out of order here? Hope GooRoo getz the WT posted soon. I think he has a backlog now, so many of us have contributed WT"z!!

Give the springs to the barehanded grunt and have him go across the water to the megaphone and WAIT there. Have the gauntlets trade places with the strawz on the green switch and give the strawz the shovel. There is no need to break any of the rocks in the red pyramid area. Have the strawz create a path through the RPs and on to the green switch beside the toobz. Then the springz gets the toobz and trips the yellow switch releasing the ball. If you've noticed, there are 3 paths going to area containing the purple switches. Does that tell you anything?

thank you WalkingBear... that is the way I did it... but...Eventually is the key word... the RR kills only 3 of the enemy gruntz... ... You have to play with the yellow switch near the purple switches to release the rolling rock at a different time so it will get 4 of the 5 enemy grunts.

Beatcha to that last reply, IdleAl, now get me out of the mess I am in, PULEEZ!!!! I am able to get all three gruntz through the next horror....where one has to step on the GHS while two otherz go and do their thing.... I can get the wingz which I gave to bootz, since he didn't need them anymore, but I am having difficulty flying to...? I don't have enough wing power to fly directly east, unless I retry going over the crumble bridge to the BOTS....is there a specific way to save wing power on the way back? And if I fly him over to the west, to get the second set of wingz, I STILL can't make it to the east, because I am figgering here, that I have to make it to the east in order to walk up to the BOTS and lower the pyramid so gauntletz can walk down to the checkpoint.... HOWEVER, there are rockz and brickz and holez to be filled all around the tarpit, so, I am also assuming that gauntletz is needed to do something there, and shovelz too? Before they go to the checkpoint? I am getting ahead of myself here as usual....just need help with the wingz for now, thanks.

WalkingBear, in order to get to the BOTS in the mudhole, find the shortest possible route that will use the least amount of wing power. You should be able to walk all the way to or from the landing just north of the BOTS, and walk most of the way going the other way. As for the second set of wings, you will have just enough wing power to get you from one side of the mudhole to the other, IF you plan your route wisely.

That is what I did, IdleAl, but I still didn't have enough wing power. Will have to rethink this part and try different thingz, but you say that I should at least fly west first, pick up the new wingz, and then fly east, I expect over the bottom edge where I can land briefly. I'll be workin' on it!~

You should only use 3/10 of your wing power to get to and from the BOTS and 6/10 to get to the wingz. Don't try flying directly to the wings though.... walk part of the way. As for going east, you will lose your wings just as you land.

you are way ahead, WalkingBear... [img src=https://gooroosgruntz.info/emoticons/wave.gif[]...I'm about to realeas the RR and go through the maze where shovelz and gauntletz clean a path for bootz... alas... the timing at the last hole would not allow shovelz to fill it... ... how do I get trough...
