What did you do with your rockz grunt? Ah! That was it! Judicious selection of which Grunt uses the Conversion Powerup, which Grunt picks up the SuicideBomb, etc. I forgot all about having a Grunt with a long-range weapon, when I was playing it through to the "run through the obstaclez on the diagonal" sub-puzzle .. and the reason wht certain things were done. I think Gaby will make i the rest of the way, with that hint!

Unfortunately, we can do nothing about the bugs that have been discovered in the game. Monolith Productions, Inc. is not doing anything at all with the Gruntz game engine, and Kevin does not have authority or access to make any changes since he no longer works for MPI. So we just have to grit our teeth and live with pacifist Toobz Gruntz, and Gruntz that can walk between raised Pyramidz and the like.

Fried did a much better job of describing the solution than I did ... I obviously left the impression that you had to hit in a group of Rockz (not possible), when a near miss of one of them was good enough. Ummmm...just to give credit where credit is due, I believe that it was IdleAl that did the better job of describing the solution. I'm not sure that I have played this custom level yet; I have it, just haven't played it.

oh dear... I don't mind playing this CL from the beginning... but you must do something with that bug that make the toobz to be a pacifist...I sent the toobz to fight the purple enemy before and after the ? secret...before and after I changed toolz...I also rememberd to save sometime while he was paddleing ... and...nothing he does not fight... I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the Toobz gruntz are just part-time pacifists. That is, sometimes when you play the game and you have to put a toob grunt into this type of situation, that sometimes he will choose not to fight, but if you quit the game, then restart it again, he may choose to fight on the next go around. Talk about straddling a fence.

When I played through it far enough to answer your SuicideBomber question, I had to restore from a SAVE made while Toobz was paddling at least half a dozen timez before he would clobber the enemy Grunt with that "big duck head". Persevere ... he will eventually overcome his pacifist nature and fight for your rights (to complete the puzzle ).

I played the puzzle through to the point of clearing away all of the Rockz and enough of the Brickz to get to the Switch in the middle of the Rock formation. Then I was called away. So I don't remember how to deal with the Grunt standing on a 'safe' Tile where the Rolling Rockz are ... but I know it can be done. (I had Gauntletz, GooberStraw and Rockz Gruntz, with Rockz taking out the enemy Boomerang Grunt, then using the Conversion Powerup to exchange himself for a Bare-handed Grunt and a Shovel Grunt.) Is that enough of a hint? You said you had Gauntletz, GooberStraw and Rockz Gruntz. How did you do that? I have been in cheat mode for over an hour trying to keep the gauntletz, but no matter how I try, I lose them. I cannot get the third grunt baked unless I take out the enemy clubz. I cannot do that without Rockz. Either Toobz becomes Rocks, or Gauntletz does. If it was Toobz then Gauntletz would have to suck up the goo puddlez (thus losing his tool) It has to be Gauntletz because we have to break the rocks around the green and purple pyramids. Then Toobz sucks up the 3 puddlez outside the arrows and the 1 inside to bake the new grunt. Either way I lose the gauntletz. HELP!!

But Gaby, the Rockz won't break a brick. And without that I can't run on the diagonal to blow up all the other rocks. So what now

That was precisely my problem... as you read in the previous correspondence...put the bomb (not rockz) in the upper corner above the treez press the 'T' for tool and show the way - one tile diagonal into the area where the rockz are - he will do the job' don't loos the rock he will be usefull later... GOOD LUCK

Had a problem for a while there, but I discovered I was putting Bombz above the right row of trees and when I moved him to the left and went diagonal to the left corner rock it worked fine. Thanks Gaby. Now I understand what you were trying to say.

This is a level I started working on a LONG time ago..but I am grateful for all of the frustrationz you had while playing, Gaby, and oldone...maybe I won't make the same mistakez... I found that if I sent toobz on that long paddle and when I got close to the end, one or two tilez, I moved him up to the top of the screen, just above the step...and then let him step up and fight like a duck! It has worked every time for me. I am at the same area that got both of you....with gauntletz (in the red) and toobz (in the yellow)m and a brand new barehanded grunt... 1. Who getz to get the "JoinUP" sign? Obviously, one with low health? He'll die anyway... 2. What about that pesky boomerang grunt? Kill him with the rock? 3. How about that area behind me with the grey grunt standing on the green switch...it's too far to throw rockz at him from the stepz...how do I get in there to get the coinz? 4. Can I trade in my rock for a bomb now? And apparently, send him through the trees to the brick surrounded by rockz? 5. How do I get through the row of brickz? No gauntletz to help me here... I'll keep plugging away and see what happens....wish me luck! I'll be glad to test your new level, GooRoo, if you'll tell me how to access it!

Obviously, I am the really dense one here...cuz I ain't no closer to the end than I was before.... Rockz, and strawz got the bombz...did their thing...shovelz goes down and fillz the hole at the bottom....walkz up, stepz on the BOTS and getz the coin.... Now....I have tried to send him through the red warp to get the three coinz at the beginning to this area...but the enemy grunt alwayz takez the shovel and hammerz him with it before I can get to dig up that hole in the corner...even if I get the barehanded grunt into the area after the green pyramidz go down, they cannot kill the gray grunt barehanded...."Um, some help here please?" Then, if I send shovelz to the right after the bombingz, to dig up thoze holez in the rolling rockz area, the rockz go too fast to allow him time to dig them up? What givez? Sure would like to finish this level this weekend....

Do not lose rockz ... in spite of his lack of power he is very useful from "long" range...

Ok then, if I have to keep the rockz....who gets the bombz? There is shovelz, I need him to fill in/dig up holez.... Gooberstrawz, he could...he's finished with sucking goo... There is barehanded too, but I used him to get the "Join Up" sign because he has the most health and gooberstrawz was already in the yellow.... SO, the question is....who goes where? AND, how do you get to the holez in the rolling rock area? They are going too fast to dig up!

you sent the new born grunt to join-up 2 enemyz: a barehanded and shovelz. fill in the hole near the checkpoint. send rockz to kill the boomerang (it takes about 2-3 tripz for hit and run) . fill/dig holez . let the barhanded take the bomb stand above the left treez row, activate the bomb and show him one tile into the area where the rockz are (diagonal) he will do the rest. don't loos the rock he will be usefull later... GOOD LUCK
