Hey GooRoo, Tried to open this game and it wouldn't, so I re-downloaded it, but I can't open the Zip file. (Actually I don't know how.) I followed the instructions but nothing seems to happen. Advice please? (and remember, I'm a little illiterate about computers) Tried one more time and guess what?? So. . . never mind!

Perhaps I should continue the mini-project I started a while back (when Paul's Gruntz Page was experiencing server problems) and create direct links to my own web host for those Custom Levelz (such as this one) currently linked from Paul's Gruntz Page? (Smaller downloads, because they are plain .WWDs, instead of self-extracting ZIPped files.)

According to the walktru, after my 3 gruntz are on the blue hold switches (which are just North of the King's fortress), my shovel grunt should have a clear path to the hole north of the lake, but he doesn't. The pyramid is still up, and is blocking his path. I'm wondering if I missed something earlier -- It looks like I should have had 2 shovel gruntz, a bombz grunt, and a gauntletz grunt to stand on the switches and lower those pyramids. But I've never had more than two gruntz at a time in this puzzle. How do I get those pyramids down?

Two Gruntz at a time, not Four Gruntz at cone. Approach the CheckPointSwitchez from two different directionz, with the same two Gruntz (I believe that is the way I designed it ... getting old, and seem to have CRS. )

Thanks, GooRoo -- I'll give that a try, and see how it goes. I wondered if it was something like that, but thought I should ask. I'll let you know if I get it to work, but it may be a few days before I can get back to it ...

I tried the "2 gruntz at a time" approach, and it solved my problem with the shovelz grunt getting past that pyramid. Thanks for your help, GooRoo!
But now I have another question. The walkthru says that when the warpstone grunt steps on the 2nd secret switch (the one inside the grey pyramids), there will be a way to get to the island with the warp letter and all those coins -- but I don't see it. I've tried having my warpstone grunt step on that switch several times. All I've seen is that one of the grey pyramids near him goes away for a moment, but I don't see any way to get to that island. What am I missing? It's probably something really obvious that I should be able to see easily, but I'm just not seeing it. I'd appreciate any help/hints you can give me ...

Gaby -- Thanks for the hint. I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner, but I haven't had a chance to try your hint yet. Just one question, though, when you say that I should go to the missing tile, do you mean the pyramid that goes away when my grunt steps on the secret switch?

OK, Thanks GooRoo. It's been several days since I played this level, but I don't remember a "missing tile". I must not have been paying enough attention. I'll try it again (although I'm not sure I'll be able to anytime soon), and let you know if I find it.

I finally found the time to try this level again, and found the "missing tile" and red warp to get the coins and warp letter on the island. Thanks for your help, Gaby and GooRoo! I don't think I would have gotten that perfect without it.

In my 'spare time' project to provide "Statz Page" imagez (screenshotz) for every CL, I had a bit of trouble with the Switchez/Pyramidz/Arrowz opening sub-puzzle so decided to update the walkthrough. There is now an HTML walkthrough with imagez, linkz, et cetera. I am now going to take some simple screen shotz showing the exact location of the WARP letterz, and an 'after' screenshot of the large Rockz area, showing the Coinz. Of course, that will also give solverz the chance to map out their Springz route well in advance, and speed up the solution of that sub-puzzle.

I significantly updated the walk-through for this old CL of mine, as part of a project to "clean up my act", in order to set a good example for (would-be) Designerz. I want to have good documentation for everything I have done (strike that ... excellent(!) documentation). I followed the walk-through, to ensure that it was correct, and chopped off about 30 secondz from the solving time. So I would be encouraged if someone would re-play this old thing (using the walk-through) and comment on my effort.

Fifth map now, still rather small, completed in 19:04. Released only a day after Switchez And Pyramidz (according to the indices), this level is somewhat based off it. Again we have an arrow maze, this one being a bit more tedious because it has to be passed about 3 or 4 times. There is also another lake with crumbling bridges and WARP letters. The Giant Rock platform with a Gauntletz Grunt and the rocks + holes with items are used again, a bit modified but still present. And some secrets are required to complete the level - this time also Question Mark Switches. On the right side is GooRoo's first self-breaking timebombs area, a concept which will be used again in future levels but with Giant Rocks. It's something I never personally felt like doing because it basically doubles your work - you need to lay out the tiles below the breakable rocks and then turn them all into CoveredPowerup logics. This level is mostly simple but there are a few ways that you can go wrong, after I played it in January I also chose an "Easy+" rating for it.
