My daughter and I were sort of center stage in a taped presentation of Square and Round dancing today! About 40 minutes into an hour long program, the camera was on us for close to ten minutes. (We happened to be in front of the mounted camera station during the taping, and the Round dances for three songs were of the type where the dancers do not move very far.) One of my very good friends from church called me to tell me about the square dance program on TV at about quarter past the hour. I had seen an uneditted preview of the program, so knew when we were likely to be on camera. Maybe this was Andy Warhol's fifteen minutes (or so ) of fame for us!

You were? Wow! You know, I could of had something like that happen to me if I stayed at the right place for an hour. My grandfather and I were driving up to his property to visit the cabin about 40-miles away from home that he built there. We passed the local industry called Potlach. When we got to his cabin, we were watching the TV and saw a news broadcast about Potlach! Darn, if I stayed there I would have been on local TV (but I don't think anyone would really care.) Any hoo, what did people think about you being on TV? Was the broadcast local or worldwide?

The broadcast was a county-wide one, on Channel 29 in the Olympia, Washington area. It was part of a promotion for square dance lessons, which began on Monday.

Yeah, I could have seen that because I live in the neighboring state (Lewiston/Idaho)
PS: If my long and sudden abscence was annoying, please forgive me. 3 weeks at home healing can leave A LOT of make-up work.

Did you forget your password? (Logged in as 'Guest', instead of 'Gruntzer'.) You can have your password e-mailed to you, if you use the long login method; enter your username (TheKirby), then click on 'Forgot password'. 'Healing' speaks to me of an injury, rather than sickness. What did you do?
