No, I used two of them for the bombz to break the yellow brickz. BUT what I found out is, that strawz was not the best choice to fight a swordz....SO I went back and used springz instead, THEN gave springz the straw! It worked! Edit: I have just reread the posts, and realize that I should have used the boxer instead...back to the beginning--again! When I get back to where I was: 1. How do I break the rock next to the upfacing arrow (below the spikez field) or do I? 2. Where is the Blue Warp that Gaby spoke about, to get the shovelz and bootz through the spikez? 3. She also spoke about not getting the gauntletz in the spike field....is that a decoy? "Remind me to send the designer of this level some hate mail!"

When I get back to where I was: 1. How do I break the rock next to the upfacing arrow (below the spikez field) or do I? go up to the lowerd GP and next to the tree ... break the rock you reach... the Red Warp is on in the spikez path, you'll get there after you pass the spikez area... no decoy...just a thought... I hope it helps...

aok Gaby! I got my shovelz through the spikez with enough health...no gauntletz though....didn't even try... Maybe I should? eek! But I did get the bootz and the shovelz to their checkpoint and through the Bw! Aha! Hope that is the one you meant! Now, I sent bootz down across the bridge to pick up the timebomb, and he stepped on the YHS to release the RR....down across the three BOTS'z..... Do I get shovelz to walk up and let the bomberz break the red brickz? I see there is a hole in the back of the brickz in the lower right hand corner.... Wonder what'z in there? So, let me know if I was supposed to pick up those gauntletz, I must have to, otherwise I won't get a perfect.... And, where is the secret to the "A" and the three coinz, and the extra pair of bootz. You mentioned something earlier about those wingz too...how do I get those? Oh, what I'd do for a walkthrough!

Thank YOU Gaby! I replayed, sent shovelz to the checkpoint, bootz to the RW, got the wingz, the "A" and the coinz, and the extra bootz....there is still a pair of wingz waiting to be delivered...? Now I have gotten the resurrection powerup, and I have all these gruntz....got the three coinz on the side... Where is the warp to the gauntletz you spoke about earlier? Is it by the fort? SO, you say I have to have at least 5 gruntz, and one to get the warpstone I guess? So far, I get smashed every time...."This is going to take perfect timing!" I must love this game a lot to keep at it so much!!

after the "battle" is over you must have 6 gruntz+shovelz(=7) ... you'll find the RW to the gauntletz after you get the wingz...

How did you do it Gaby? I am going to try to move as many as I can out of the way before the clubz start clobbering me....and let the RR's do as much damage as possible....I wish there was a Health powerup for those poor gruntz!!!

I just re-played this tough CL in order to add a screen grab of the Statz Page to the thread. Since it is an 'orphan' (my e-mail address for Guenter is returned as undeliverable), I plan to make up a walkthrough for it during the next week or so. (I started from the beginning at least eight timez, because I only used one SAVE area, and discovered that I had made a mistake ... before I had SAVEd the most recent time. ) You know, it is fun to re-play many of these CLz, because (with this CRS disease I have) I tend to forget how thingz were done the first time I solved them. So, in some wayz, these are 'new' to me today.

I have all of the componentz of the walkthrough done ... except the walkthrough, itself. You may see where the Coinz, Powerupz, Secretz, Toolz, Toyz and Warp letterz are located ... but not how to get to them. I have about an hour right now to begin the walkthrough, and perhapz some more time about three hourz from now to work on it some more. Our washing machine died last week , so we are preparing to take delivery of a new washer/dryer set ... I may be too busy with that to do much until the new set is in place.

After finally having the washing machine problem resolved, designing a Custom Level, BETA testing others' CLz, and doing other maintenance taskz on this Forum, I am now getting back to writing the walkthrough for this tough CL. I managed to get a screen shot of a " PERFECT!" score Statz Page ... but it was a few weekz ago. I will have to go back into the puzzle in order to be able to write the walkthrough. When I get to particularly tough partz, I plan on making screen shotz, and marking those up with (my way of) how to solve it. During my timez of frustration (and there are sure to be many of them!) I will 'take a break' and check on thingz here. But I expect that I will 'make myself scarce' for a while.

The walk-through for this CL has several explicit linkz to Neron Hosting ... the defunct web host we had from 2003 to 2006(+), so the imagez do not show up. Worse, the walk-through was written without text, such as 'rock' ... just the image ... so all you see is [image] ... and even I have no idea what object is being referenced! So I have begun a re-write of the walk-through, using all relative referencez in place of explicit referencez. And I am breaking it up into smaller piecez, with an index entry to let the solver choose which section to see. Here is the index for a 'teaser'.

The is now complete. If you are all caught up on Gruntz Custom Levelz, perhapz you might be willing to use the walk-through and see just how helpful it is ... and report back on any shortcomingz.
