This puzzle held the (informal) record for most questionz asked on the Gruntz Forum ... until Gamer released "Bombz Away!". Put on your thinking cap!

Woohoo! So far, I have made it to the large lava field in the lower righthand corner. I know I need a gauntletz to break the rockz on the far side. I have my shovelz down at the purple switchez (with the blue toggle switchez in between). I have the spongegunz and springz and gauntletz on the first set of purple switchez. The problem is, how do I get them all unto the second set with the quickly moving bridge steps, without getting burned. Is this another tightly timed puzzle? Does the spongegunz come into play here? There isn't enough time for even him to get someone unto another step before it goes down. Did I miss something else somewhere? Is this puzzle even necessary except for the toobz needed for the next checkpoint? Is there another way to get it? ARGH!

This puzzle containz a number of tight timing sub-puzzlez. IIRC, there is no instance where a SpongeGun Grunt needz to shoot a friendly Grunt over/past an otherwise insurmountable obstacle. Pure timing! (And judicious SAVEing. )

Let that be a notice to CL designers...MERCY, Please, MERCY! Some of us are not able to get through severly timed puzzles, which only adds to our frustrations. There are several CL's that I cannot finish, much to my dismay, because of situations like this one...

In "Eruptions", most of the timing requirements is in the anticipation of when to move. The Springz Grunt is the one most in need of such 'anticipation' ... especially on the one Tile Bridgez from one area to the next. Most Gruntz take 600 milliseconds (6/10ths of a second) to move from one Tile to the next; Springz takez 800 milliseconds. You need to time your jump for when the bridge Tile is down, hoping it will be up when your Grunt arrivez. Whenever possible, you click on a destination past the Bridge Tile, not on the bridge Tile itself.
I hope this helps!

Well, I got through this whole thing before I realized that I missed something somewhere. I got the warp with the springz (these old fingers had some trouble with the tight timing but I managed to do it finally ) but I didn't find anything to get me to the red and green pryamids with the gauntletz, coin and blue warp.

Ah, yes! The Secret Switch using the Grunt while he has Wingz problem. You need to find the shortest (and fastest!) route around the volcano, when the Secret Switch is pressed. And it needs to be timed such that the Wingz Grunt arrivez while the Red Pyramidz are down, and remain down long enough to get to the 'safe' Tile (Brick foundation, without any Brickz built on it). Then (now on foot) you make your way from 'safe' tile to 'safe' tile, and evntually to the Blue Warp. (Boy, is my brain being taxed by these Custom Level being played by 'fresh' Gruntzerz! At least, it proves that I am not (currently) afflicted with Alzheimer's ... I can still remember most of these puzzles. )

You do know it is not necessary to click on every Tile your Grunt will cross, don't you? If a destination Tile is diagonally southwest of where you are, and the next is two Tilez due south of the first, and your ultimate (safe) Tile is one Tile due west of the second ... click on the second Tile; your Springz Grunt will go there in the least amount of time; quickly click on the 'safe' Tile while Spring is in the air toward the second Tile. (Just an example from the sub-puzzle that has lotz of Spikez, and Red Pyramidz ... some up. some down.) Sometimez, a puzzle is set up so that is impossible to solve from a starting position if Pyramid "A" is up ... and the solution is to activate a Switch (via another Grunt) to lower it ... then the solution is easy. Always look for those possibilities in any Custom Level; a Switch that is activated via a Rolling Rock, but that you can reach with one of your Gruntz (with some hazardz involved) and activate an extra time, swapping the order of Pyramidz raising and lowering.

Done it... thank you for reminding me... but it is not enough... you have to catch the tempo and jump a split of a second before the tile appears... now I'm working on the 4 separate mazez... they are easy to solve... the hard part is yet to come... but with much practice it will be done...

I'm about to enter the checkpoint (with the coin in the middle of the area)... I know that wingz has to do his job before entering the checkpoint... I keep loosing wing power no matter which way I choose to go... can someone please advise me - what way to take (the shortcut)

I believe that Wingz must cross the Toggling Bridge on foot, rather than flying across! That is, have Wingz step onto the Bridge stepping stone as it comez up, and anticipate stepping off one and onto the next, all the way across the Bridge. Tough stuff!

That is the way I do it ...except the middle of the bridge that is missing a tile... I loose the wingz a split second before entering the area with the coinz and the new wingz... that means I'm wasting some where... maybe at the lake crossing... I'll try the diagonal way...

All's well that ends well... it seems that some objectz are there just for no reason or for the show... the coin in the middle can wait ...there is a way to get it, after all the gruntz but wingz, gets to the last checkpoint... so... I solved this pazzle too... altough it's not perfect yet, because I missed two coinz somewhere (unvisible)... so...back from the start to get the perfect ... wish me luck...

There is one Coin that is very well hidden in a bunch of trees (EyeCandy) just south of where four Toolz are (Bomb, Gauntletz, Shovel and Springz) that is easy to miss. Where the other possible missed Coin is, I have no idea.
