I must be the dense Gruntzer here...can't see how to get to those holez and rockz on the outside and inside without using up valuable health...my gravity bootz is the only one who can traverse those spikez without difficulty....
Why is it so easy for everyone else? What am I missing here?

The Moundz / Holez / Mushroomz on the outside contain thingz of interest, while those inside are only EyeCandy. Your Shovel Grunt should start out with full health (there are no other hazardz to health than Spikez ) and should be able to spend a minimal amount of time standing on those! Remember that it is possible to break thingz on the diagonal ... or dig on the diagonal.

wow! I just got a perfect in 47:31.....didnt think i had all the coins, but i guess i did! ..quite a level Gooroo! thanks for the fun and all your hard work that went into it! Kat For the past few dayz I have had an idea running through my head for "Warped Soduko", where the 'puzzle' is how to get nine Gruntz into an area on their respective CheckPoint Switchez ... where the Wormholez all deposit the Grunt(z) in the same location. And one of the Gruntz doesn't have a CheckPoint Switch , but a Purple Multi-Grunt Switch instead! All nine in their proper placez openz a way to step into the next Wormhole ... but which one getz left behind? (Sudoku puzzlerz will know how to play this one.) All nine Gruntz have to go through each Wormhole to satisfy the next area's requirementz ... then (at the end) eight of them return to the Purple Multi-Grunt Switchez they first were 'assigned', while the ninth bringz the Warpstone to the King. (Specific Toolz are required to get to the Wormholez leading to the areaz with the Purple Multi-Grunt Switchez .)

Argh....I am totally frustrated...now finished getting every grunt on every square...and my shovelz endz up where he started digging...and no way to get to any more holez or rockz without painfully stepping on those spikez...
I'll wait for the walkthrough, thanks GooRoo...

The King's Fortress is in the southwest ... the entire eastern edge is Spikez, where Rolling GolfBallz travel. Stepping on the correct pattern of Blue Toggle Switchez will provide the solver with Bridgez to get to the final Blue Toggle Switch that allowz Warpstone to reach the fortress.

I'm still clueless about those perimeter rocks and holez here You'll find it useful to experiment and save frequently. Some holez and mushroomz only hamper progress, being distractionz.

Is there a PMGS under each set of rockz and holez around the perimeter or only at a few?

Is there a PMGS under each set of rockz and holez around the perimeter or only at a few? As I recall, few of the Holez/Moundz/Rockz contained anything ... most were merely obstaclez to make it difficult to reach thingz that are important.

Oh Bother....well, I know the square in the upper left leadz "outside" to holez that contain a coin, and a PMGS, and the one further down has a checkpoint for the toobz...I think it's yet another restart...why was it so easy for everyone else, and I am just clueless here...maybe I am losing my touch...or have stopped thinking like a grunt?

It's been a long time, but I am going to try this level again... After re-reading all of the postz, I understand that it IS shovelz job to dig up thingz around the perimeter, that I have to save often, and that I don't step on the shovelz checkpoint until toobz can get through...and that the BS'z are key to making the path to the fort...I have never gotten that far....
I am currently at a place where shovelz has access to the bottom row...filled with spikez...and even if I carefully allow him to dig down there, I am dreadfully low on health...any suggestionz?

Never stand on Spikez while digging up Moundz ... if you can stand on a Mound and dig up one on the diagonal, instead. Just be prepared to take a (brief!) step back if you hear a ticking sound.

Right, gotcha...all gruntz are on their PMGS'z, and the warpstone grunt is waiting on a landing, waiting for me to step on or off the BTS'z bringing the tilez up in the quicksand pit, on the way to the fort... Just trying to see which switch controlz which tile...and then I think I can get to the fort...~!
