Oh that's great news, GooRoo...I was worried that I would have to find a CD version (I may anyway, so that I will have it as a backup in case of PC hard drive failure or other catastrophe, ah, might have to put one in the strong box, to have in case of evacuation during hurricane....that way I can while away the hours in the hotel....playing Gruntz!) to start designing levels....Supah! Dupah!

If you have a SAVE near the end of the CL (just before you bring the Warpstone into the King's Fortress), send it to me as an attachment in an e-mail, and I will try to find that last Coin for you.

I don't know why but I cannot download the revised version from the web host. I must be blind in one eye, and unable to see out of the other (or something), but I cannot see any difference in the filenamez ... and have re-named both the link in the original post, and the file on the web host, trying out different 'solutionz'. None worked.

I have been going through the Forum Custom Level threadz, looking for threadz without either a Statz Page image or a viewable map (I started with the "Gruntz In Space" graphicz set) and discovered that I had a fairly complete HTML walk-through for this old puzzle. I upgraded most of the componentz today (correcting linkz to the previous web host, that made the presentation ugly) and uploaded everything to the web host. I am continuing to work on it, since there are still a few errorz in what I uploaded, and many componentz are not 'standard' ... but may still be of some use. So I would appreciate commentz, if anyone decidez to re-play the CL, following the walk-through ... to let me know what is good, what is bad, and what just doesn't come across clearly. Since the walk-through (actual description of the solution) is in multiple partz (and I haven't even begun work on those), there are probably several broken linkz to imagez ... still referring to the old web host. Those I will be fixing as I continue the effort today. Edit #1 I have fixed (updated, etc.) about half of the remaining componentz, fixing the broken linkz, adding in text in support of imagez to improve readability, and adding in imagez that did not exist in 2002. I have had enough walk-through updating for one day, so will defer the last componentz until I return from my match tomorrow.

I have almost all of the supporting imagez created ... most of them uploaded to the web host, as Brickyard solution. Tomorrow I plan to complete the individual puzzle walk-throughz and update the walk-through index with linkz to each puzzle area. So if the name I give in the index doesn't mean anything to you, you can click on the image link and see what the component will talk about.

When I open the level editor say me UNABLE TO LOCATE REZ FILE ..\GRUNTZ REZ Would you like to specify a new location? Respond "Yes" and replace the ".." in two placez (REZ and EXE) with the path to your Gruntz folder, as "C:/GAMES/Gruntz" to complete the path to the necessary filez/programz. You really should not have to ... but with the change above you can use the GLE to make the change. I think the reply to the first quoted section is all the help you need.

When I open the level editor say me UNABLE TO LOCATE REZ FILE ..\GRUNTZ REZ Wold you like to specify a new location? I cant delete the level timer What I have to do? Please help me I just re-played this CL (as part of the walk-through testing) with a very slow time of something like 1:18:35 ... and had almost 20 minutez remaining on the timer. So I don't see much need in deleting the timer in order to play it. Just pick up each StopWatch to add one minute for each one, and satisfy the CheckPoint Switchez to add lotz more time to the timer. The Statz Page image showz less than one hour for the game timer time ... 20 minutez faster than today's time ... which had so much time left.

Some people just don't like the pressure being timed. I am one of those. No matter how much time I have, I always feel like it just isn't enough and I'm going to run out of time and have to start again, and I could go on and on. Of course, this is why I have ulcers.

I do not like to play with time measurers, in fact all the levels that have time accountant she rejected them, because nonwise that took off the time accountant to him, now she will lower all to them , and try to finish them calmly.

is the same level Time, that level timer? because he only appears level Time. in propiedades objecst mode thanks for its aid. The logic for enabling the level timer is located in the upper left-hand corner of the map, probably at X=0, Y=1 (or possibly 0). I have no idea if removing that (alone) will be enough ... the StopWatch logicz and CheckPoint Flagz logicz may cause problemz.

I removed the level timer from A World of Sweets and picking up the stopwatchez simply did nothing. The game carried on as usual.

I was searching for something that I thought was in the Walk-through for this old Custom Level, and discovered that it was riddled with broken linkz! It seemz that it had hundredz of referencez to "Neron Hosting", which only displayed an [image] where there should have been for instance. Worse (like this example) there was no text to let anyone know what was missing ... "rock crystal " to give some help. So if there are any Gruntzerz who "gave up" on this CL because it was too confusing ... and the walk-through was of no help ... there is hope! And, no, I didn't find what I was looking for.

Level number eighteen, time 49:10. A long timed level, more focused on combat with the Yellow Gruntz. You'll be slowly gathering an army from the remains of your enemies and progressively distributing them items from megaphones, which you mostly find in 9 areas on the left side of the map. It's an engaging task... until you gain access to a boomerang. Then you can get rid of all enemies on the map by throwing it over and over, which basically defeats the purpose of both powerups and the toy in this level. And the teleporters from the creation area may be entered by any Grunt when the threat has been eliminated. Giving the solver ranged tools is a risky business. About other tools, some are needed to reach purple switches that open the pyramids at the end of the level, so make sure none end up in the shredder. It's very possible for this to happen, as there are about a dozen of them given via megaphones. There are not many tool swaps taking place because of how many Gruntz you control but it's certainly possible to mess up by giving something away too early, so you can say that tool management is a major puzzle component of this map. There is no challenge other than that and taking out the enemy Gruntz, maybe collecting the coins before the time runs out would be another in the old version (there are almost 2 hours given in the modified one with all the checkpoints and stopwatches). Now for the daily dose of complaints, the GruntCreationPoint is pretty difficult to localize at the beginning. It's really hard to notice among the checkpoint switches, obscured by a stopwatch and a blue wormhole. Hidden things are fine to some degree but in my opinion it's better to make the solver aware that something exists and force him to think how to access it, if you want that to be a part of the puzzle. Another issue is related to the secret teleporters - all of them lead into the same area, which initially seemed like a clever idea because you can't get everything with only one tool and have to return with a different one. However when I activated the third secret, the area was already empty and I had no more things to collect - I was there once with gauntletz and once with a shovel before. So I just teleported in and then returned, weird. And the last thing is the large amount of unused space in the middle, which adds unnecessary walking time between destinations that could've been placed closer to each other. At least it's not filled with just tile 1.
