Concentrate on making as many gruntz as possible. You do not have to destroy the bomb brickz, ignore them. You should be able to make many gruntz in shovel'z area. They can get the proper toolz on their side to activate the checkpoint.

After Sword (calimete?) , Toob and GooberStraw turn all of the Gruntz they can reach into Goo Puddlez , add a Grunt into the Game at the GruntCreationPoint (avoiding the Object Guard carrying a Sword) and walk out of the area to the Yellow Toggle Switch . Step on it to release one of the Rolling Rockz, and step on it again after the Rock passes, but before it reaches the second Two-Way Arrow (it will be pointing the wrong way). The Rolling Rock will remove a Defender Grunt carrying a Sword ... and there will be no Goo left behind! But now you can get the Shovel, and start filling in Holez and digging up Moundz . Do not pick up any Tool you uncover! Leave them behind for a newly baked Grunt to pick up! The first newly baked Grunt after Shovel should pick up Rockz ... and start throwing them at enemy Gruntz. (Step on Spikez before picking up the Rock, so that you don't get hit by two Rockz ... a little lost health from Spikez is better than a lot of lost health from Rockz!) Your Rockz Grunt should be able to turn two enemy Rock Gruntz, the Sword Object Grunt and a Sword Defender Grunt into Goo with no loss of health. Then have Toob and GooberStraw satisfy the CheckPoint to let one Shovel out (and Gauntletz ) to take care of breakable and diggable thingz whereever they may be found.

I played it through again to a "PERFECT!" score, and greatly improved my time. But I know that it can be done in much less time even than I took today, since I had to go back for PowerUpz that I didn't need, just in order to achieve the "PERFECT!". Now I know that it wouldn't hurt to pick up those PowerUpz ASAP, even though they are not necessary to get through those enemy Gruntz ... so someone may try to get the time down to around 45 minutez flat!

I am back at work on an HTML walk-through for this CL, and have added in information about Purple Multi-Grunt Switchez ... and the Forty Thievez. I hope to have it ready for upload before bedtime tomorrow. Part of my 'fun' is to re-play these old CLz as a refresher for helping to update the walk-through.

I have re-played this one (from the beginning!) several timez, and even with picking up every single dropped enemy Tool, have the time down to 52 minutez. There are many Swordz (at least a dozen ... only one required) and four Rockz (none required) that are never counted, so may be avoided entirely. I picked them up just so that one of my Gruntz carrying a useful tool (even Rockz can be more useful than a Sword ) couldn't 'stumble on one' and pick up a useless tool. Making extreme use of the Rockz Grunt made three of the Powerupz unnecessary (except for the " PERFECT!" score), and (for the life of me!) I cannot figure out why I placed a Shovel under a Die in Room #12. Finally, only twelve Gruntz will solve the CL, with eleven required for Purple Multi-Grunt Switchez and one to dig up and carry the Warpstone Piece .

Level number fourteen, done in 39:45, seems to be quite an improvement over the intended time. This is a level that starts off with a really tough part. Not only you have to get your own Tool stolen and outmaneuver the enemies to reach the Conversion Powerup before being beaten to death, you also have to make sure that none of them dies on Gray Pyramids additionally toggled by the Secret Switch just to make you suffer. It goes without saying that you'll save and reload this part countless times. Fortunately it's a lot easier after that. You gain access to a Boomerang and soon also a Sword, so all future fights become significantly easier. Turn as many enemies as you can reach into goo and bake new Gruntz, then give them the Toolz you uncover in a pretty extensive magic shovel part. From there it turns into the "Sandbox" style gameplay, send the right Gruntz to the right areas to collect the coins and etc. I can't help but notice the similarities of this level to Full House of Fun, especially in terms of graphics - many small areas with checkered floors divided by slot machines. I would say it's an improvement over that previous level, the map is smaller so there isn't as much empty space in the middle. Though due to that first part it should rather be rated as "Medium+" in my opinion.
