Here in Minnesota we have a lot of casinos, one of which is called Jackpot Junction. I've never been there but this is my idea of a Jackpot Junction.

I'm having a problem with putting in a toyer enemy. I want him to give my grunt a pogo stick if I run into him. What is the logic?? I think I'm doing it right, but every time I put the logic in, the game closes. Help please?

I guess it helps to vent. I figured out the toyer problem (damage not powerup) but the tool thief still confuses me. He will take my tool now but I don't know why he wouldn't before. I didn't change anything in that logic.

You said that you didn't change anything in the Tool Thief logic, so that letz out having given him a Tool of his own when he enterez the game. There are a lot of strange happeningz that have surfaced lately in Gruntz ... your Tool Thief problem, and my Black One-Time Switch that operated Black Pyramidz just fine for the first two or three weekz of design, then suddenly refused to operate anything anymore. So I had to change two of the four Black Pyramidz to be in lowered state, so that the solver could proceed. I tried several thingz to fix that, but nothing worked, so I finally gave up and released it with that flaw.

# # Here we go again. This time I am unable to get the spotlight to work. First it was in water and I thought maybe it needed solid ground so I moved it. But still no luck. I copied it from one of the standard levels, so the logic should be right. Any ideas?

Gaby had the same problem with a Spotlight in her High Rollerz Custom Level. She should be able to tell you what she did to fix it. But I believe she said she had something in a dialog box such as "Damage:" ... when she changed the value to 0, it started working!

No matter what I do, I am unable to put a spotlight into the level. But on the bright side, I just played it through for the first time and I don't think we need any more challenges. My opinion of course. As I was looking over the standard levels, I found something interesting that I'm sure you, GooRoo, and probably Gamer and a few others already know about. I found the secret level triggers. The triggers all work but who knows where they take you. I assume that's what you guys have been trying to figure out. Interesting. . .I'll have to check into this some more. Well, it's that time

Unless you're looking at the secret level trigger in the very first level of Rocky Roadz, the secret level triggers don't take you (or rather, your grunt) anywhere. It justs whisks your grunt out of the game, never to be seen again.

That's what my problem is in creating Version 1.12 ... determining the correct file name to give to the Secret Levelz, in order to add them into the Gruntz.rez file so that the Secret Level will open when the solver activates the trigger. I admit, I have not spent much time (lately) in experimenting with file namez, and re-linking. If I applied concentrated effort to the problem, I would probably be able to find the secret formula.

It justs whisks your grunt out of the game, never to be seen again. I noticed that. So I'm thinking that you guys have developed the other secret levels and are now trying to figure out how to integrate them into the secret level triggers. Good luck to you. I really wish I had more knowledge about computers. I would try to help, but as it is I'm rather worthless.

Can't you just use the formula for the first secret level? I think it was called level 101. (If that's a stupid question just ignore it. )

when are we going to see it? I'm sitting on pinz and neeslez (auch... it hurts I'm barefoot here)... Get a pin cushion, Gaby. There are a few problems that need correcting. For instance, a megaphone under a sugarcube has to be used while in the path of an enemy wingz. That was what I intended, but I had to come back over the same spot and I could never get out of the way in time because I had to stop to read the (stupid) book. #tantrum# I didn't allow for that. That was just one of the problems. Nothing big, just annoying and a little time consuming. So get off the pinz and neeslez, it shouldn't be much longer.

Can you just put the Megaphone there, without it being in a CoveredPowerup? Because then, once used, it will be gone, and not a hindrance any more. (I really hate that bug that invokez a 'Note' ... that isn't ... when a Megaphone is in a CoveredPowerup. I used it often in my early CLz, much to my annoyance ... and probably everyone else's, as well! )

That would have been the simple solution, but I didn't think of it! I moved it to another spot which works just as well. I think it's ready now. I will play it once more to get a screen shot of the statz page and then send it to you.

Beware of the Tool Thief! If he is successful, Gruntz may lock your Grunt out of the game. (But the Designer provided a way out, if you can find it. ) Released today, and in the in-boxez of those who are in the "Gruntz Fanz" address list. For those of you are not on the list (why not?), there is now a download link in the original post in this thread, so you may acquire it at your pleasure (or leisure).
