If it happens, I will be spending quite a few hours setting up the Forum, and entering data, etc. That means I will not be spending much time answering Gruntz CL questions. At least, not the type of questions that would require me refreshing my memory on the solutions. I definitely would not be spending any more time on the ProBoards Support Forum! It happens to be for the local square and round dance association (an activity close to my heart, because the entire family is involved), and there is a lot of work to be done in setting up the calendar. I worked for four hours today on a presentation Forum for the association leaders to evaluate. That is probably about 5% of the set-up effort done as speculation to demonstrate what the site would look like. It is very 'bare bones' as far as bells and whistles ... nothing done in that regard at all. So if I do not do a lot of posting for the next week or two, you will know the reason why. I am not deserting you ... I just have a temporary shift in priorities. (My daughter will be 'staff' on the S&R Forum, so I won't have to be present on-line there all the time, once the Forum is well established.)

I have a reasonable start on the proposed Olympia Area Squared Dance, Inc. Forum. It is definitely not 'finished', but I have enough done that I have invited the oversight committee members to look over what I have accomplished so far. I would appreciate some input from the Gruntzer community on what I might do to improve the site. You really can provide useful suggestions, even if you know nothing at all about square dancing or round dancing ... you know what is appealing to you ... and what is appealing to you willl no doubt also be appealing to the square/round dancers of my area. Thanks for any comments you might make to help me improve the utility of the new Forum.

I have done everything I intend to do 'on speculation' on this new Square/Round Dance Forum. Now it is strictly up to the decision-makers. If they choose to 'jump ship' from the existing home-grown web site, to my customized ProBoards message board format, I will spend more time customizing the Forum. If they elect to use another as webmaster, I will simply delete the Forum, with only about a dozen hours of time invested. If the Council decides they want to use what I have proposed, then I will add more customizations, and (finally) hook up my scanner and add some things via that device ... time-consuming, but not requiring a lot of thought. For instance, I will be able to do Gruntzy thingz while waiting for a scan to be completed ... that's called multi-tasking. The up side to becoming webmaster of the Square/Round Dance Forum is that I will have an operating scanner and can make use of it to load other imagez, etc., into this Forum.
