All those funny files on my computer, taking up space, and I can't play them when I want... Gruntz consist of a few rather large files, this hints me that the soundfiles must lie within one of these files, BUT winzip won't extract from any of them.
Anyone who knows how to extract the files and play with them?
GRUNTZ.VRZ GRUNTZ.REZ Moviez\GRUNTZ.FEC
are the biggies, any ideas how to open them? Have tryed renaming to .zip .arj .lha .bh .bin it didn't work : o(

I have a program called "WinRez LT" that works on the Gruntz.rez file ... that is what I am using to try to create a 'patch' to include the seven additional "Secret Levelz" for distribution to the Gruntzer community. But (so far) I have not found the Gruntz Voices in the expanded directory from .rez. Perhaps I should try to use WinRez on "Gruntz.vrz" ... it makes sense that the 'v' in 'vrz' may well stand for 'voice' ... so it would be a 'voice resource'. I might be able to experiment with that tomorrow. Right now, it is time to hit the road for the Seattle Mariners baseball game ... and I expect my 'coach' to turn into a 'pumpkin' before we arrive back home. Edit: My coach turned into a pumpkin before my friend and I even opened the door! Four hours and forty-seven minutes for a fourteen inning baseball game, won by the Mariners 2 to 1! (We didn't even get out of the ball park until after midnight!)

Sorry The VRZ is actualy REZ file, no renaming nessersary, just open it with WinRez LT. 55min. 37 sec of fun : ) with little doubles (4-5 'double-posts' out of 1517 files) GTA adverticed with X km of road Claw with 20 min of video Why not [glow=blue,2,300]GRUNTZ[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]with over an hour of fun comments [/glow] Having used time to organisce(finding the funniest) sound files, I have not toyed with the ANI (grafical) files. GPF Lith mentioned a viewing program, havend looked into that yet. "Who is the Grunt who will take-over the enemy Grunt" has always been my favorite (GRUNTZ.VRZ\VOICES\GRUNTZ\WARLORDGRUNTMP\JOYE.WAV) And the FEC... Federal Election Commission is blocking my googling... they too have 'programs' and 'extensions' -Lars

I'm assuming that you used the WinRezLT program to open up the .vrz files. What kind of OS (operating system) are you using? I downloaded and tried to use the WinRezLT program, but it would not work for me. I asked on Black Angel Software's (where I got it from) Help Forum why it was not working and they said that judging by the error messages I was receiving that I must be using a Win95/98 operating system (I am). They said that LT wasn't designed to work with Win95/98, only WinME and above. But they said that an update was in the works to correct that problem and it would probably be out in a couple of weeks. It was either that or fork over $10 for WinRezPro. So far, though, I haven't seen any indication of an update.

For one time only, I am glad to use XP... Hmmm most(of my) programs work best on the DOS core... Well XP is getting older and older, more and more of a standart I am happy on your behalf that great games, such as "Asendancy", "StarControl 1,2,3", "SystemShock 1,2", "JetStrike" runs perfectly on your computer:) Many of them don't ork on XP Keep up the good spirit, the update WILL come, just belive in it! -Lars
