Okay I have downloaded a few CLz to C:games\gruntz\custom.... but when I open Gruntz and choose single player then custom a screen pops up with a blank white area and then a grey area with Name: ( blank) designer: ( blank) and it won't let me write anything anywhere.....there are also a "pay" button and a "cancel" button......obviously my exploration into this is lacking something crucial...Help??? Ok, Kat, the white area of the window that pops up is where the list of custom levels that you have downloaded and are available for play should be. If you have at least one custom level available for play, then when you highlight one to select it, the Name of the custom level, the Designer of the level and the Date it was "born" will appear in the grey area beside the appropriate designations. Of course, the Play and Cancel buttons should be self-explanatory. What is curious is that there are no levels in the white window that should be there.
Two things to check. First, you have to have created a folder named "Custom" (w/o quotes) inside of your Gruntz folder to hold your custom level. I know this sounds so obvious, but you wouldn't believe the number of times the obvious stuff trips people up. To make sure, click on My Computer, click on the file where Gruntz is installed, then click on the Gruntz folder to open it up and look to see if there is a folder that is named Custom in the Gruntz folder. If there is, then click on it to open it up.
Are there files in there? If so, check the file extensions. All Gruntz custom levels carry a .wwd file extension. If the files have another file extension like .zip, then you need to extract the .wwd file in order to play the custom level.
